Denny's — Restaurant in Tucson

This is the worst Dennys we have ever ate at.

When we walked in the smell was so nauseating we almost walked right back out and give the horrible experience we had we wish we would have. When the waitress came to take our order she was very rude and rushed us with taking our order and she never brought us drinks we requested. When our food came to the table a different waitress brought us our food and was also very rude. She put down my plate, it had 8 cut slices of white bread not toasted with a ton of butter in the middle of one slice of bread, which by the way we never were asked if we wanting in the first place. The hash brown were not cooked and very cold. The omelet seemed very small and missing ingredients. When I asked the waitress about all the bread on my plate she said the omelet comes with toast. However my husband’s plate had zero toast on it . The waitress then said the bread on my plate was for both of us with the rudest possible and seemed in a hurry to walk away from our table. The food was gross , the restaurant it self was gross, the staff was equally as gross in both their job performance and customer service. We waited and waited for anyone to bring us the check but ALL staff was nowhere to be found. My husband eventually found them when he went outside, he found ALL the staff sitting together smoking a joint with no concern for the safety of the restaurant or the customers inside.

This was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a Denny’s, actually any restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. Never again will we eat at any Dennys restaurant and we will be telling all of our family and friends to do the same. It wasn't the best Dennys. Food wise. Everyone I went with enjoyed it and had no notes, but I noticed a couple things that I'll share for the pickier people out there. We went about 7pm on a weeknight. Breakfast for dinner our favorite. My son and I got the moons over my hammy and a slamburger to split he loved both we asked for medium well burger and over medium eggs and they delivered. My only notes were that there was a very small portion of ham on the moons over my hammy. I've had this dish dozens of times from different locations and even this location in the past, and I am certain the eggs and ham are generous and folded over to ensure fullness. The ham was about half the portion of a normal moons over my hammy, leaving the sandwich thin and un-filling. We asked for scattered hashbrowns so they could be crispy it seemed like the scattered them, but gave us less than a serving only enough to spread over the plate compared to other people's dishes that didn't get scattered they seemed to have a decent serving where ours were very thin. Scattered doesn't mean less, it's just means crispy should still give us same serving size. Our service was good the waitress didn't have very many tables, but was attentive enough. Best part of the night was that I didn't have to do the dishes and none of the family ad complaints which is a shocker cause they usually pick apart everything. The Regular Denny's i go to had a kitchen fire, went down away to eat here, much different atmosphere, quite cold and damp, I walked in was greeted right away by a young gentleman I asked if I could sit at the counter yeah, he showed me the way gave me my menu and utensils, I was watching The Kooks and there were two waitresses with their back turned towards me not a hello or how you doing? Just looking frustrated at the cooks, this young lady comes around the corner and ask me if I would like something to drink and if I'm ready to order I said sure I would like the 699 Grand Slam special that I saw on TV, she informs me that they don't have that there not at this Denny's, then I asked her? What do you have for breakfast that's close portion and price, she told me the breakfast slime no potatoes I said okay I'll try that, she took my order very pleasant young lady, my order was done right away the pancakes were tasty as usual, the egg what kind of hard I got a small little dry portion of bacon but you look like beef jerky and a small little nub of a sausage, I season the eggs and then drowned the Pancakes in butter and syrup without me Down the beef jerky and the nub of sausage, nothing against the young lady that serve me or the young man that sat me down I will not and I repeat a lot set foot in that Denny's again there's a restaurant right next door which I'll go to.
