Momo's on 6th — Restaurant in Tucson

Tl;Dr -- Just try this place. It's worth the time and every penny. Momo's has the most delicious street tacos in Tucson, for the best prices, with the best service. Every flavor of them just blows you out of the water. The house-made horchata & agua frescas are guaranteed to delight just as much.

I am a university student who lives in Sam Hughes, and I've passed this empty corner day after day on my way to class. I always think to myself, "I really wish there was fast, delicious food at a good price here. Everything is on the other side of campus." The day I discovered that Momo's on 6th had had its soft opening, that wish came true.

This place is amazing! Street tacos to die for, pictured below are some of the grilled shrimp, but even the mahi mahi are fantastic in their own right (and that's not something I usually say here in Arizona). The only reason I gave one less star for service is because of how long we had to wait to get our order. The person taking our order was actually very nice otherwise. And the food was delicious 👌🏻. I tried four different meats via tacos - chicken, asada, birria, and pastor. My favorite was the pastor because of the flavor and texture. The asada was good and birria also great. I loved their salsa bar and the inside dining area had a cute setup. My favorite physical aspect of the restaurant however is the mural outside. Last but not least, they offer a great variety of drinks. Delicious Horchata and the o.g. Mexican sodas were the cherry on top. TACO TUESDAY! Incredible prices and good flavor! Pretty loud & rowdy so we definitely took our food to go, but the self serve chips while we waited was pretty awesome. Menu does not denote allergies but it's honestly pretty navigable if you know your common foods. For a gluten friendly option I went with the chicken nachos 🔥🔥🔥 I did not ask if the chips are cross contaminated but so far I feel pretty okay. Ate too fast to get a pretty picture!
