Well hello! Are you interested in a fun, friendly, relaxed environment, with delicious sandwiches and other delectable delights? Try Potbelly! The team of appetit solution specialist at Potbelly really know how to construct a great sandwich with hearty portions. My recent visit was once again a blast! My small family of three sat down to some super tasty grub! I tried the new Prime Rib sandwich with a really great horseradish mayo. The misses and the little one shared a Pizza sub. The flavors were out of bounds delicious! I am also a BIG fan of the house brand chips, especially the jalapeno or voodoo flavor. Tell them you want a BIG pickle quartered. SO TASTY! Although we didn't have dessert this time, they now have a special apple cider donut sundae with a caramel drizzle that looks AWESOME!!! I can go on and on about the food but think it would be best for you the reader of my review to just make your way to Potbelly and give them a try. I would like to say that you will be met with a sincere and cordial welcome upon entry. Furthermore, the manager on duty Ashley, was so polite and helpful. She makes you feel like Potbelly family. A HUGE shot out goes to Tajanee. Let me tell ya, that girl can make a sandwich! She offers excellent suggestions to add to your meal and leaves your taste buds highly satisfied. These two women, the quality of the products, the relaxed atmosphere, easy pricing, and the Potbelly reputation will leave you feeling both full and satisfied with your meal choice investment. I eat Potbelly typically twice a month and have yet to be disappointed. I hope this helps you when looking for a quick bite without the stress. To the ladies of Potbelly at the Broadway and Craycroft location, you both hit a homerun out of the park!!! Thanks for the AWESOME experience. Now go eat...
Read moreEven though the sandwiches here are good, I can't avoid mentioning their poor food handling procedures.
After ordering my sandwich, the staff member in question placed it in the oven and turned around to the prep table behind her. While still wearing the same gloves she used to make my sandwich, she placed her phone on the cutting board prep table, and proceeded to text back and forth with someone. After she was done, she grabbed a pan of bacon, and began removing the slices with the same gloves that were used to make my sandwich, and text on her smartphone. When my sandwich came out of the oven, she used the same gloves AGAIN, to remove my sandwich and proceed with putting the toppings on.
If you're going to require your staff to wear gloves while handling food here, more training needs to be done on how to avoid cross contamination and food borne illnesses. If that's too hard, ditch the gloves altogether. Washing your hands works...
Read moreI'm originally from Chicago and so is Potbelly if you don't know. So when I moved to Tucson a little over 12 years ago and realized that Potbelly wasn't here I was disappointed. I would have to settle for other Sub Sandwhich shops in the area Such as Cheba Hut, Quiznoes & Subway. It took Potbelly almost 10 years to realize that they were wanted here and I was so Grateful that they did. I have yet to try a Sub place that can come close to the taste and loving atmosphere that comes with the amazing food. I would eat here everyday if I could afford it. The Italian with mushrooms are my favorite. They have tons of selections, different sizes of bread as well all the toppings you could ever want. They also carry Milk Shakes, Soups and their famous Hot Peppers. Give it a try you...
