It's Greek To Me — Restaurant in Tulsa

UberEats delivered my meal.

I ordered the cabbage rolls dinner. For a place that's been in business nearly 20 years, you would think they (the professional chefs) would look up a half dozen or so recipes for making cabbage rolls & make it better than a home cook. You would be wrong.

The "cabbage" was barely recognizable. The cabbage roll contained no protein whatsoever. It was filled with bland rice that might have been washed with very diluted tomato sauce at some time, it was orangish in color, but had very little flavor. I expected gyro meat or ground beef, but no, there was no meat at all. There was also no tomato sauce spooned on top, so it was dry, like it had been under hear lamps all day, even though it was evening meal time.

The hummus was runny, but tasted okay. The tabouli was tasty. The pita bread was a little tough, maybe a little overcooked, but I ate it anyway. There wasn't much flavor to that either.

I won't be ordering from this place again. There are dozens of better restaurants in Tulsa. I suggest you find somewhere else to eat as well.

I ate here today for the first time because I was enticed by the delicious gyro meat sample that was given out!! It was so good that I got the gyro sandwich and that thing was the best i’ve ever had, and I know what i’m talking about because i’ve been trying different restaurant’s gyro sandwiches this summer in search for my favorite, and this one takes the top. The food was incredibly hot, the gyro meat was so flavorful and there was plenty of it, tzatziki was on point, and the lettuce and onions were nice and fresh. But what really sold it for me besides the wonderful portion for the price was the PITA!! It was not only soft but it had a slight crisp to the edges that took it all the way home. It was also hot and soft unlike some places which are cold and stale. Will definitely be coming back again and HIGHLY recommend. There was a line of about 4 customers in front of me, and 3 behind me. The man behind the counter was working alone, and was very stressed out presumably because he did not have any help and felt overwhelmed. However, when it was my turn to order after about a 10 minute wait, he was extremely rude after asking me for my beverage choice. I literally was given less than 3 seconds for a response before I was told to hurry up. Coming from a background of having a small family restaurant, I know very well that this is not how you treat customers ever, regardless of the circumstances. I honestly should have just walked away at that point, but after waiting so long, I unfortunately didn't have the energy. As a result of this terrible service, I will never come back here again.
