Slo Ride Brookside — Restaurant in Tulsa

Last week the entire city of TULSA went thru a natural disaster, Slo Ride was one of the only bars that was fully operational and functioning, and seeing as a community of people that are brookies, (Brookside neighbors), make up the patrons, and customers there, it’s obvious, that you must not have understood what was going on….

People without power and Wi-Fi were all in the bar, cooling off, recharging, and being taken care of by every member of the staff as best they could - it was overwhelmingly BUSY as F.

Between the bar maintaining services, and providing free food, and being accommodating- albeit that the staff didn’t have power in their homes, and some have kids, they showed up, over heated, tired, and ready and willing to work.

Shift CHANGE is hectic, however, it is what it is.

Please go troll some where else IVAN this bar cares and is a great bar. I could maybe take your review seriously had you just used a real name. But ya didn’t and...

I had just had some snobbish service both downtown on my first visit to McNellies(won't be back) then at the Mecca(NEVER again) & so I REALLY felt like putting a pop-knot on some preppie's head; so I headed to Slo Ride for a nice relaxing beer. Heard of it, never been there- and was very pleasantly surprised with the outgoing and friendly "Sissy" who was tending that day. Introduced herself, shook my hand, chatted me up and turned my day around. Thanks, Sissy; you DID. Nice atmosphere, unpretentious like the other brookside establishments. She also said that they have bands every other weekend, which is good for my ol man, he can't stand the loud music anymore, when he's trying to have a conversation and the band is absolutely SCREAMING for attention like they're the only reason you went out for a beer, heh heh... Brookside was a fun place to go in the old days when the Stables was still...

Depending on the time of day... if bree/ Kaylee are on shift- exceptional service... caleb is a HORRIBLE bartender will grab your empty beer, throw it away and not even ask if you would like another all qhile having the worst "i hate my job" attitude.. pat seems like a floor guy but is a bartender personality... can't comment on him because I don't know if he is floor or bar... I've been to the owners other place and always have exceptional service... he probably should look at his bartenders at slo ride also. I've had nothing but great service at fat daddy's, but slo ride has me wanting to call and make sure pat and Caleb are not working before I come in. 😒
