Not so incredible and everything but pizza! (Mediocre food, $1.25-1.75 very short games, $1.50-2 high-risk gambling, broken stuff, could easily burn $30-50 / hr / person.)
We came for a school activity. The food is mediocre at best. The bland pizza is exceptionally thick crust and minimal toppings (Little Caesars level). Most pizza stations stayed empty, only basic pepperoni or cheese or a veggie with very thin small pieces of the toppings. I can say the gluten-free thin crust pizza actually tasted good, and ironically was actually the best! The desserts were just outright horrible, tasteless ice cream / cones, my son said the chocolate was actually just brown with no chocolate flavor, cinnamon rolls had thick breading with mediocre frosting, and I can't figure out what the soaked fatty-like bread dish was sitting in some kind of sauce that tasted like weak watery molasses.
Otherwise they had standard pastas which were okay, a basic taco / nacho station and a basic hot dog or chili dog or Frito chili station. But again, the big part, the pizza, was bad, generally absent, and minimal type selection.
The games are all $1.25 to $1.75 for 15-45 seconds (very few $1.75 are 60 sec), and the ones that mention specific ticket winnings actually aren't that number (black hole; 15=11, 40=39). Keep in mind that the point-based games will only give you about 20-40 for skill of most players. So you can expect 15 to 30 tickets per $1 of game money. Many of the games don't give tickets either.
A very high number of machines are pure gambling mechanics, something quite inappropriate for a place that focuses on kids and proudly displays the Christian fish symbol on the entry doors. (Don't claim it's just entertainment, that's what actual skill-based video games are for.) Worse, at $1.50 to $2 per play for very small to zero winnings and a minuscule chance of a big win. (One of the big wheels, if you land on the thin blue line that's 100 tickets, it's not, it's a free retry to get the same thing again in order to actually win the tickets. Wheel of Fortune only gives up to five tickets for an expensive spin, with virtually no chance of even winning the 200 or up to 2500.) So always read the prize indicator and instructions, and stick with skill based mechanical or video games, even as short-timed as they are.
We saw people play several of the claw games and at $2 a piece, they as usual are calibrated to be incapable of carrying the prize. Somebody had a small lightweight prize in the machine, fully lifted, and it dropped as soon as the machine started moving even though it was the best grip possible, firmly centered in all three tongs. Other games were typical carnival rigging style. The ski ball uses exceptionally lightweight bouncy plastic, not the proper heavy balls that the bowling area uses (which means they can't claim they don't carry them for safety). While it is somewhat expected for these games to be difficult to win very much, at IPC they feel very designed to not allow winning at all.
The thing they don't tell you on the website, is that the attractions are mostly unavailable. They have a schedule of when the big attractions are usable. And you can't just go flag down an employee, because even those are scarce.
Another thing is that many of the machines were out of order, including almost the entire miniature bowling. For the laser tag, they had plenty of vests out that weren't lit up/ not working. Of the basketball game, several of the balls were popped. Many of the card readers are tricky to get them to read, and some of the games don't give a good indicator that the card has been scanned, causing you to accidentally activate several credits (at $1.75 each).
The miniature golf scorecards show 9 holes, but there's only eight. Even then, they aren't very attractive and rely on lumps and slopes for difficulty, with minimal object interaction. Plus, most objects don't really interact with guiding the ball for a better setup, and feel like random decorations meant to be somewhat obstructions or a few...
Read moreSo i guess i can put this on here since it came up for me to review although I had already sent this email to them to ask to speak to a manager and guess what no one ever responded to my email or called. So i will post it here. Fwd: we came there Saturday the April 27th to have a birthday party for my son. I had paid and set up a party with yall in advance and yall even called to confirm it a few days in advance which was great. I just wanted to reach out and let the manager know how our experience was. I was told on the phone to arrive 5 to 10mins before my party started to get signed in to let them know we were there. This was our first party with yall. We have been invited from our friends party's there before in the past but this was our first one that we set up. Im sad to say it will be our last. Partys are stressful, but being on the phone and reading how you all set everything up and take care of things to make it stress free, kind of eased my mind at some point. But when we arrived at 4:10 and i went to the party desk in tulsa Oklahoma i told the lady i was here to check in for our party we had set up for 4:30 told them my childs name and she said ok they are not ready right now but as soon as they have yalls table set up they will come out with your childs name on a whiteboard and will direct your party to their assigned table. I said ok. So i went back in the waiting area watching several partys being called to their seats but never had my childs name called. Finally at 4:37 yes past our schedule party time i went back up there again asking again when we would be seated. They pulled his name up again and at that time was thumbing thru papers and talking with each other. Come to find out they gave our resevered table to another party. They rushed around handed me rest bands and playing cards and told me how much i owed for the party. Told me to follow her they took my son to the wheel first to spin. Mind you we have yet to be seated our hands are full of presents and cupcakes and our belongings. I personally didn't even see my son spin the wheel the lady told us to stand in the middle of the lobby and didn't even say what was going on until one of my guests said oh hes spinning the wheel. Once he did that he went to the ticket booth to see how many tickets he could catch still holding onto all the things. While at the ticket booth she informs me everyone here (talking about the guests) will all need to go back in line to pay for their buffets if you are not paying for them. Meanwhile my son is getting in the ticket booth at this time. I'm thankful a guest of ours was able to manage to get a video of that. I told the lady ok i will figure that out as soon as we get seated since i still had my hands full of presents, cards, rest bands and my personal belongings. After my son got out of the ticket booth they asked for his card to add something to it. Once she came back she then seated us to our table and told us we only had the table for an hour and half which i knew that but it was at least 15 to 20mins after before we even got checked in. My point is, what was supposed to be a special day, it was very rushed and unprofessional of them to have gave our reserved table to someone else and us being late to start our party and not seating us at least first before doing all the things. All the other partys i have went to in the past there were handled completely different than my sons was. Even a couple of guests i had even came to me during the party at Separate times saying how messed up the party was and how rushed and thrown together it was... having to pay over $400. For a birthday party at a place that states stress free, it was definitely not stress free. It was unprofessional and very rushed. I'm glad my son still at least had some fun in the play area with his friends. I just know it will be our last birthday...
Read moreI went this last Monday night. The workers were playing air hockey or sitting around. The only attractions open was laser tag and Race Cars. Those people were working. A female employee was watching a male employee with an ear piece play air hockey. He was playing it with another worker in a neon on shirt who was carrying a broom playing air hockey. The female employee and male employee in purple told me the laser tag worker had to open up the other attractions. It would take 30 minutes before they could open them!!! Be mindful, we paid extra to get attractions for my son’s birthday. After waiting about 20 minutes We stopped a different worker, who finally opened the roller coaster one. After my nephew got off the ride They made an announcement. The attractions would be closed in 30 minutes. I wasted my money because they didn’t even have EMPLOYEES at the other attractions. I never complain on these reviews and I’ve never complained about this place, but I went and spent my money and my family couldn’t get on all the rides. Maybe it was a Monday thing? I wouldn’t go again unless it’s a Friday. The girl is finally walking away from air hockey table, the picture with the employee playing with a kid in red, then the employees watching, the girl is their she is covered by the employee in purple, the shorter neon shirt employee played as well, but the employee in purple couldn’t get away from that table. He would leave for two minutes and come back. I don’t mind employees playing, except when all rides are working and we aren’t sitting around waiting for workers to open the attractions. Incredible pizza needs to do better having a manager there in the attraction side that’s a 30 years old. The front desk service was great, the food was great, the people taking our plates was great, the games were great, it wasn’t until the attractions we were highly disappointed. Below are pictures everyone circled and Red are employees. The tall one in the neon shirt circled in red finally opened one...
