Papa V's — Restaurant in Tupelo

I'm just gonna be completely honest here. Firstly, I want to say that I wasn't overall disappointed with the store. The store and staff itself is actually a nice, friendly and appeasing. My coworkers and I have frequent shoppers here since we got to Tupelo. We have spent a lot of our hard earned money at this establishment. Being as they are well stocked with a variety of merchandise and most employees have been very accommodating. The employees with whom I had interactions with were helpful and friendly. All except for one employee named Brett. His attitude is one that definitely needs to be corrected. Now, let me explain why I say such concerning this particular employee. This man was there on sunday when I went in. The store was not very busy On this particular day. I was on a store run for myself and a few other people I work with (this is a task that happens frequently). It is a known fact that some of the people I work with carry backpacks when we are out. There are often times that we have a definite need for these same backpacks in order to carry any items that can go inside these bags. Such as drinks, snacks, change of clothes, etc. Each As needed. I happen to be one of these same people who carry a backpack with me. Let me be absolutely clear about something, I consider myself to be an honest and trustworthy individual. I DO NOT STEAL! I do not take things from others that do not belong to me. I go above and beyond to be of good service to others. I try to treat everyone with respect. Yet, this man made me feel as if I were just some common thief. He made a sacastic, demeaning remark to the cashier, albeit in the presence of other customers, inquiring to whether or not the "girl with the backpack " bought something or did I "just put stuff in her bag and leave". He failed to notice that I was standing right behind him, therefore , hearing his unnecessary and unwarranted statement. I was appalled by his actions. I informed him of such as he tried to backtrack with a half hearted attempt at an apology. His behavior was very unprofessional and inappropriate, by all means. It's employees like this that cause companies to be known for bad business practices leading to a decline of revenue for the establishment owners. As long as I know that Brett I an employee at this business, I, nor any of my coworkers will be customers here. A job not well done sir. Otherwise though, the remainder of the staff did an excellent job. Thank you ladies. Job well done...

Actually, I stopped for food. However, it was on the weekend, and they were closed. There was a young man sitting in front of the store with a backpack and a cardboard sign that he was hungry. He was sitting in the shade, and it was 98 degrees. So together the clerk and I got him a couple of cold drinks, chicken salad sandwich, a milky way candy bar, a big bag of potatoes chips and a lg container of fruit, and I gave him $20. Then she allowed him to come in and set down and cool off and eat. These are my kind of people. That's what God wants us to do. Help others who need it. Before any thinks I just gave my money to a drug addict, I want to say that I did what God put on my heart to do. What he does with the money is up to him. I also gave him the name of a free Christian rehab outside of Jackson Ms in Pocahontas Ms, called Friends of Alcoholics. God loves the lonely and lost, that's why there are SO MANY SINNERS IN HEAVEN. This breakfast was so disappointing . I was expecting more from Mississippi, since I'm from Georgia. The grits need some salt and butter ( a little love wouldn't hurt ) , the eggs were watery , sausage links were ok and the biscuit was aight. The young girl was rude and acted like she didn't know what she was doing , and the girl at the front counter had a bad attitude and was rude. No hospitality. Highly disappointed. Will never go back.

Also , be respectful when people are with there spouse , not throw change in my hand bc he didn't give you attention.
