Disappointing Start at Squire Pub & Social Beautiful Location, Needs Work Our experience at Squire Pub & Social was unfortunately a mixed bag, especially considering its prime location within a Grand Canyon resort. Arriving right as the doors opened, we were met with an unwelcoming look that made us feel like we had interrupted something. Despite being the only patrons, our cold appetizers took an astonishing 40 minutes to arrive. Bizarrely, our entrees followed a mere five minutes later, leaving us with a table quickly overflowing. While the fish and chips proved to be a highlight – the fish was well-cooked and the chips were crispy – the pizza was a significant letdown. It tasted undeniably like a frozen, boxed variety, which was incredibly disappointing given the setting. To add to the confusion, we had to request plates for our pizza and were then provided with small appetizer plates, highlighting a distinct lack of common sense amongst the staff. To be fair, the staff members we interacted with were genuinely nice and polite. However, their lack of training and basic understanding of restaurant service was glaringly obvious. From the delayed appetizers to the mismatched plates, it felt like we were their first customers ever. For a restaurant situated within a Grand Canyon resort, expectations are naturally higher. While the location undoubtedly offers a captive audience, Squire Pub & Social needs a serious overhaul in its kitchen efficiency and staff training to meet even basic dining standards. The potential is there, especially with the good fish and chips, but significant improvements are needed to justify a visit, particularly for those expecting a quality dining experience in such a...

To start us off, my mom ordered a cocktail that we don't think had liquor in it.

I ordered wings with the "famous" Arizona BBQ sauce. My mom ordered a pulled pork sandwich that was supposed to have the same sauce.

When I got my wings, I was surprised to find that they were spicy and did not taste like what I expected. After a few wings, I asked my mom about her sandwich. My mouth was on fire, but she said her sandwich tasted not spicy at all. We tried each other's and agreed I must have accidentally gotten the wrong sauce. It tasted like I had gotten the sriracha honey sauce.

At this point the waiter came to check on us for the first time since we had gotten our food. We were essentially done eating. My mom mentions that I got the wrong sauce.

The waiter immediately denied I had the wrong sauce. He took the plate back anyway and was missing for probably 10 minutes (during which time we wanted to get our check and leave!). He comes back and says the kitchen says I had the right sauce, and they put the other one on the side for me to taste test. They gave me a whole new plate of wings. The waiter just kept saying their barbeque sauce is "mesquite." I'm honestly not sure he knows what that means.

Upon tasting, they obviously had the sriracha honey sauce on the first plate. The second, new sauce was indeed different, but not much. I theorize that they mixed the two sauces together for the second plate when they realize they screwed up. Either that or obviously their "famous" barbeque sauce is different if you order wings or pulled pork, which makes no sense at all.

The wings were not taken off the check or anything. One of the most bizarre dining experiences I have ever had. I'll definitely...

Family of four meal ended with 4 comped meals because service was so bad, food came out wrong, burnt and over an hour after actually ordered. I took my wife and 2 kids here hoping for a good dinner after a day at the grand canyon. We got there at 5 when they opened. We were the first family seated. Our server was nice. We ordered immediately. We ordered wings, but told they were sold out, even though we were the first customers of the day. So we ordered burgers and a sandwich and then waited. We got a couple of beers and onion rings that were ok, but after that it was terrible. We finished our beers and then waited another 15 minutes before we got another round. I almost went to the bar myself to get them. Our food never came out. I had to ask the waiter where the food was, he seemed confused. So after another 15 minutes my wife and sons got there burgers. They were burnt and didn't have the right toppings. I never got my meal. By the time they were ready to bring mine I was so disgusted I told them to make it to go because I lost my appetite from the frustration. Finally after an hour and a half my bag came out with my meal. They compensated us for all of the food because of how terrible it was, but that did not make up for a ruined evening that was suppose to be a good one with my family on vacation. My suggestion is to go...

We were hesitant to go here after reading the reviews but all the reviews for places in this town are bad. We took the leap and went and I was even more hesitant after seeing the place was deserted and the fact it was downstairs and quite dark. We ordered a large pizza and chicken strips and fries (trying to order “safe food”) and they arrived in what would be a normal wait time. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food tasted and it was definitely hot. You have to order up front at the bar and they deliver the food to your table. The waiter (some guy from Pittsburgh) was super nice and chatty when you take to him and ask a few question’s, etc. I think what some of these reviews are forgetting is many of these places got smoked by Covid and are still recovering. It’s hard to get staff and limited menus are an attempt to make it easier on the limited kitchen staff and also not have food go to waste by having too many options. If I was just looking for pub food I wouldn’t hesitate to go back here.

Took a chance because I have a picky eater in my party and saw chicken tenders on the menu. We had a wonderful time! All the staff was very attentive. Bree tended to us and she was such a great personality, not only did we have a great time with her, but we also saw her making time for each table and chatted a little bit with each set of guests. Super hospitable, and we got everything from drinks to food in great time. Wonderful, wonderful service. The food was excellent, too. The Chicken tenders passed muster for my picky eater, and the corn quesadilla I had was probably the best restaurant quesadilla I've ever had. I'd absolutely come here again.
