I would give this a NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could!!!!!
Hate IT doesn't even come close. I'm not even out of this place and I had to log on to warn other people to STAY AWAY. We're on the downward end of our 9 day trip around the National Parks Loop in Utah and decided to stop in the Grand Canyon on the way home. We missed the campgrounds in the park by a couple of hours, so we decided to stay here. WORST mistake ever.
Since our trip has taken us to seven different campgrounds thus far, I have some experience with pricy "full hook up" sites.
This place is a nickle-and-dime you to death joke. Let me break it down for you:
*You have access to "free wifi" that doesn't come up to use. *You have to PAY extra to use dump stations at your site and if you choose NOT that's right - *You have to PAY to use them on the way out. *You have to PAY extra to get sites that have "fire pits" too. *You have to PAY to use the showers! - .25 a MINUTE!!!! *Bathrooms are flat out disgusting. My little girl and I walked into the ladies room and found bugs everywhere - the toilet felt like it was going to come undone from the base when you touched it. *The sinks were filthy and the floors had several - several - roaches in them. *The shower stalls were dirty and why would you use them if you have to PAY?!!!! *Our spot is on dirt - and the campers on either side of you are less than 4 feet away. *Our picnic table is wooden and not surprisingly splintering and with faded paint. We wouldn't sit outside if we had to. *WE got a lovely view of an ancient motorhome that looks as though it's been here for years. Others get to look at the trashcans of the pizza joint we're behind.
Now look - if this place was immaculate and everything was beautiful instead of pulling up to something that came right out of a bad Vacation movie I would have just sucked up the pricey fee and rolled out in the AM without much worse for wear than a ding in my pocketbook.
Which incidentally - let me tell you the prices:
I payed $56. - for 'full hook ups' w/ dump station- the priciest place yet. You can pay $51. for non-dump stations and for $46 for just a spot of dirt.
By and large this is the WORST place I have ever stayed at in the various camp grounds we've stayed at throughout the years. Including primitive camp sites.
This is just a typical example of greedy, cheap owners gouging people for every penny they can get and not giving a damn about the condition of their establishment. And why should they? Once you're here - you're stuck.
No refund.
No wonder.
They'd have NO customers.
Clean up your act - Grand Canyon Camper Village. Because you're flat out disgusting.
And you better believe I will be discussing this with the person behind the desk in the AM.
Can't wait to get out of this DUMP.

Read moreI was worried that I would not find a good camp spot for the independence day weekend when my son told me he wanted to meet at the grand canyon for the holiday. My wife attempted to book a slot at the nps campground in the grand canyon and koa near williams with no positive results. While playing around on the I-Net I put crazy dates for my wish i could do it on the camper village website. the next day i received a confirmation that my dates were booked, no up front money and see you then. I couldn't believe it and started reading reviews and got scared. it seemed to good to be true, me getting what i wanted and no money down! Well we decided to give it a go and not flinch. My wife and I were so happy the bad reviews were wrong. we found nothing so bad to warrant such poor reviews.
This campground is fine. its not a 5 star hotel, its a perfect family campground. the wifi.... shut off the electronics and go to the park. it worked fine for sending a picture or two at the end of the day, not to play a game etc. Perfect location because you are right across the street from the NPS visitor center, the park shuttle, and walking distance from a McDonalds, Wendy's, Local Grocery and Convenience Stores. I was most happy that we could park our camper for the duration and take park shuttles anywhere in the Grand Canyon and the town of Tusayan AZ. Camper Village is the only campground I know of outside of the park that has the same bus shuttle service as being right in the park.
I am most happy with my experience at Camper Village, the friendly staff, the facilities, and the pet friendly atmosphere.

Read moreMy husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Canyon Camper Village in our spacious 40-foot motorhome during the beautiful late summer months of August 2025. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the park's immaculate grounds and charming aesthetic. The vibrant greenery and well-tended landscaping created a picturesque setting for relaxation.
We chose this RV park primarily for its proximity to the Grand Canyon South Rim Area, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. The campsites were clean and well-maintained, offering a rustic charm that enhanced our camping experience. We enjoyed being just a pleasant stroll away from quaint local shops and family-friendly restaurants (just a tip: DO NOT eat at the local McDonald's; it cost us $34 for 2 Big Macs and 2 fries). Plus, we were less than 2 miles from the iconic Grand Canyon South Rim entrance.
The on-site store was impressively stocked with a wide array of supplies and essentials, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. The staff members greeted us with warm smiles and were incredibly accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requirements.
As we explored the area, we noticed several other campgrounds and RV parks, but none compared to the aesthetic and upkeep of the Grand Canyon Camper Village. Its beauty and maintenance truly set it apart.
Without a doubt, we are looking forward to returning to this wonderful campground on our next adventure to the Grand Canyon!
Thank you, Joanne and the rest of the team at Grand Canyon Camper Village!
Best regards, Dave &...
