Our Family experience at Big E Steakhouse & Saloon was one of the HIGLIGHTS of our trip to the Grand Canyon 😀 I did my research of the area (like you are now) and found out quickly we were having pizza, fast-food, or Steakhouse for dinner (only options 🤔) we did a quick drive-by through town on the way into the South-Rim Park area & taking inventory on the choices available and the reviews we saw we took our Family of 4 here. The DECORE: I think if you enjoy themed restaurants & kitchy decorations that give you the Theme Park Vibe like we do then you'll find this place as fun as we did. There's so much detail in the decor!! Fits right into the Country theme & We LOVED IT. COVID CONSIDERATIONS/ CLEANLIENESS: They are very considerate of following new C-19 guidelines and they even give you a little hygiene bag for your mask to stay clean @ the table! They keep you protected indoors with safe distances between the tables, the staff are wearing 😷, I saw the staff cleaning very thoroughly after each table was cleared. I always think of hearing Gordon Ramsey saying once that a restaurant with a clean bathroom reflects a high likelihood they also keep clean kitchen. If that's true then they are doing a great job on both! Very clean! Great Job! The SERVICE: The staff was so friendly you could feel the smiles under their face masks! From the cheerful way we were greeted & seated, the attentive waiter that brought us refills without being asked, the entire team was working great together & the Vibe was positive & fun! The FOOD/PRICES: We enjoyed our meal. I'm going to be 100% honest with you. I think in this town, out of the 5 or so options you have ... mediocre is likely on the menu in every single place. That being said, We have ZERO REGRETS about our choice to have our dinner out at Big E's!!! We started with the calamari appetizer $11 Perfect! The breading isn't too thick and they did not taste like the freezer! They were crisp & not over done or too chewy and the dip sauce had a great zip of spice! My husband had the Prime Rib with Steakfries & Onion rings $37. It was cooked perfectly med-rare. Shocked us actually, we had prepared for the worst. The steak knives are really dull. That's my ONLY complaint. We had better luck with the butter knife than the steak knives. So there ya go- Prime Rib so tender, my husband cut it with a butter knife! It was a large portion with a great flavor on the outer rub. No extra sauces needed. The onion rings i think are made in house? They had a crispy fluffy beer-batter, but were a little bit over-cooked but still delicious!! The steakfries are very good too, crispy on the outside and nice and smooth inside. Not over salted either!!! I ordered the full rack Baby-Back Ribs with the Sweet Chipotle Chilli BBQ Sauce. (I want to buy some of that stuff too take home! Yum!), a loaded baked potato and the steamed veggies. $36 Again, way more food than we needed but these ribs had me singing! Tender, fall off the bone juicy. The sauce was delicious but the meat carried its own stand out contributions of smoky BBQ flavors! The potato was Loaded with thick smokey bacon, liberally dressed in cheese, and a very generous supply of sour cream & fresh wipped butter was provided on the side. The steamed veggies is your standard frozen California Blend of bland Broccoli, cauliflower & carrots pretty much what I was expecting... but not on the same par as the rest of my delicious meal. My 13 yr old daughter got 1/2 BBQ chicken- plain, with Mac & cheese & a loaded baked potato $27 I was concerned when it came out because the skin looked so charred I figured the chicken would be dry. I was wrong! She loved it, I tried it and was pleased with the tender, moist bite of chicken breast I had! Nicely done! The mac & cheese was a little soft on the pasta but the flavor is kicking in that creamy cheese sauce! There was a flavor in it that was unique... we couldn't place it but it was enjoyable! My 11 year old daughter went for the kids pasta- plain, with fries & fruit. $5 Go here!! It's 😋

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Big E Steakhouse & Saloon, and I must say it was a truly carnivorous experience. Located in the heart of downtown, this establishment is a haven for steak lovers, offering a delightful blend of rustic charm and mouthwatering cuisine. Ambiance: As I stepped into Big E Steakhouse & Saloon, I was instantly transported to the Wild West. The rustic decor, dim lighting, and western-themed accents created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The saloon-style bar added a touch of authenticity, making me feel like a cowboy enjoying a meal after a long day on the ranch. Service: The service at Big E Steakhouse & Saloon was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. From the moment I was seated, I felt well taken care of. The waitstaff was prompt in taking orders and accommodating special requests. They were also well-versed in the menu, providing helpful recommendations and answering any questions I had. Menu: The menu at Big E Steakhouse & Saloon is a meat lover's dream come true. With a wide variety of cuts and preparations, there is something to satisfy every carnivorous craving. Whether you prefer a juicy ribeye, a tender filet mignon, or a flavorful New York strip, this restaurant has it all. The steaks are cooked to perfection, retaining their natural flavors and tenderness. Accompanying sauces and sides complemented the steaks beautifully, adding an extra layer of deliciousness. In addition to their exceptional steaks, Big E Steakhouse & Saloon also offers a selection of other mouthwatering dishes. From slow-roasted prime rib to succulent pork chops and even seafood options, there is something for everyone, even those who prefer a non-steak option. The menu also features a variety of appetizers, salads, and desserts, ensuring a well-rounded dining experience. Taste: The highlight of my dining experience at Big E Steakhouse & Saloon was undoubtedly the taste of the food. Each bite of the perfectly cooked steak was a celebration of flavor. The meat was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The accompanying sides were equally delicious, with creamy mashed potatoes, crisp vegetables, and flavorful sauces that enhanced the overall dining experience. Value: While the prices at Big E Steakhouse & Saloon may be on the higher side, the quality and portion sizes justify the expense. The generous servings and attention to detail make it worth the price tag. This is the kind of place you go to for a special occasion or when you want to treat yourself to a truly remarkable steak dinner. Conclusion: Big E Steakhouse & Saloon is a carnivore's paradise, offering a delightful combination of rustic ambiance, excellent service, and mouthwatering cuisine. From the moment you step through the doors, you're transported to a bygone era of the Wild West, where you can indulge in the finest cuts of steak cooked to perfection. Whether you're a steak aficionado or simply appreciate a great dining experience, Big E Steakhouse & Saloon is a must-visit destination that will leave you satisfied and craving for more.

After a long day of traveling and being let down with other experiences during our trip, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice steakhouse dinner. Big E had good ratings online so we decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, the hostess greeted us and brought us to a nice seat. We showed up in the peak of dinner (6pm) and still had no wait to be seated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had lots of questions about the different steaks and picked the Baseball Cut Sirloin. My waiter Jamie started to take my order and when he asked how I wanted it cooked I mentioned liking my steak well done. He cautiously advised me that with the sirloin cut, my well done steak would be drier and tougher and he would recommend a different steak cut. He also went over eat cut with me to select the best thing, while I also asked my boyfriend's opinion and got feedback as well. He was never pushy about which steak to eat, just gave me the facts and let me choose. I ultimately chose the Ribeye and was not at all disappointed. I paired it with the mashed red potatoes and swapped for a side salad as well. My boyfriend chose the prime rib with Mac and cheese and veggies. All our food came out relatively quickly, and hot and fresh. We shared our bites to try each thing and all the food was delicious. Our food was seasoned well and had tons of flavor. Both of our steaks were very tender and juicy as well, and the sauces used on them were very complimentary. My house salad was fresh and the cilantro ranch dressing was yummy. The mashed red potatoes were definitely fresh made, with the right amount of flavor and creamy and chunky. The Mac and cheese was what I expected of a standard Mac and cheese, but good all the same. We also got to try the desserts, both the apple pie and cheesecake. Aside from my own pies (which I am extremely picky about by the way!) I think this is one of the better apple pies I have tried. It was full of tons of apples, with the perfect amount of sweet cinnamon and apple crisp topping. The cheesecake is firm, sweet but not too sweet, and creamy just like I like it. I also loved how they have a dessert platter to bring limit and show you before you buy. We got ours to go since we were so full from the delicious food. Overall such a great experience for us and we had a great meal. Well worth the price and the service was great. Our server Jaime or Jamie(?) Was so kind and friendly.

He was never pushy about which steak to eat, just gave me the facts and let me choose. I ultimately chose the Ribeye and was not at all disappointed.
