This is kinda long but I'm so frustrated and upset with the experience we had. I had highly recommended and pushed my friends to go to this restaurant. So 5 of us went last night to celebrate a birthday and a friend who is leaving us for a new job. It was busy but not bad for a Friday night (I've been there on a weekday when it's been even busier). We're all nurses and understand how incredibly challenging it can be to balance a lot at once. We're very understanding and very patient. However, last night was bad and nearly ruined the celebration.
We got there around 6:00pm. The server gave us water, got one drink order and ran off before the rest of us could tell her what we wanted. She returned, gave my friend her wine and left again before any of us could tell her what we wanted. It was bizarre but we let it go. It took her another 30 minutes to come back. We gave her our drink and appetizer order. Took a while but finally got it. She did not come back, for a good hour, to even check on us, let alone take out dinner order. We didn't even see her on the floor. We almost said forget about ordering dinner. But I again pushed to stick it out thinking it would get better as it was now 8:30 and it seemed to be slowing down. So when the server did finally come back we put in our dinner order and another round of drinks. Dinners were delivered 20ish minutes later. And they forgot one of the dinners (one of the friends we were celebrating). We could not locate our server. So after yet another hour of waiting and never getting it she finally said forget it and we told them to take it off the bill. We forwent dessert because at this point it we had spent nearly 4 hrs there.
Additionally the bar tender was extremely rude. 2 of my friends ordered mojitos and they didn't taste like mojitos, had absolutely no mint flavor in it. We grabbed a waitress walking by and explained that, and asked if they could be remade or even order different drinks. She went off to see and came back quickly, explained it was a brand new bartender who made them and that the experienced one will remake them. Well the bartender who remade them brought them over and told my friends to try them. She asked if they tasted better and said she added more alcohol and if they don't taste it then maybe they're just alcoholics. We were absolutely shocked and horrified by that. I told her the alcohol wasn't the issue, it didn't have any of the mint. The new drinks didn't taste better but they felt too uncomfortable to say anything or change them.
There was many more little things but we looked past it as we are easy going and understand how hard it is. There was a lot of little things like not taking our empty dishes or getting us more water, but can easily look past that. I've been to this location many many times. It's my go-to to celebrate Mother's Day. But honestly after last night I'm not sure I want to come back. Tables were literally getting up and leaving because they were forgotten about. This is unacceptable. I wanted to talk to the manager but she was constantly going to tables to apologize as things seemed to be a...
Read moreOkay, I genuinely don’t know if this is a joke or not? Regardless I am beyond upset. Tonight my boyfriend and I were staying in and I decided to DoorDash from one of my favorite restaurants - BJs. I promised him that it would be THE BEST burger he’d ever have, as I’ve ordered countless times before. I ordered 2 guac and bacon burgers with fries, expecting to hopefully show him a new date spot in the area! WOW! Were we shocked with what we got. Our first burger had ALL of the wrong toppings, despite the cover having all of the right toppings listed on them. I would like to preface this with the fact that I’m now a nurse, but worked in the service industry all throughout my early 20’s - Sweetwater, carpool, Chuys etc. I know how many eyes have to go on an order before being put into a to-go bag. Therefore, I was SHOCKED to find our first burger with all the wrong toppings, and our second to-go box with all of the wrong toppings and no patty or fries. I spoke with Susan, the manager, and she informed me that there was nothing that they could do as I ordered through DoorDash, BUT, they’d be willing to remake the order. I was still talking to her the first time I called, while asking for her name, and she hung up without giving it. It wasn’t until the second time I called asking for the manager that she said “this is Susan,” in which I found out her name. The second time, I informed her that my second to go box had no patty or fries. Her response: “you told me it has less fries. My kitchen is making your order again and the head manager or chef (I don’t recall who it was) would like to speak with you because they need to talk to the cook who prepared it.” While I would LOVE to come get the correct order that I paid $50 for on doordash - doordash only refunded me $6 at first, and the an additional $10.50 after I submitted the no patty photo, I would hate for a someone to lose their job over this. The Uber was too expensive for us to come out to the restaurant, so we just made PB&J sandwiches. So all in all, I paid a total (once refunded) $34 for a sandwich that was ice cold with none of the right toppings - OH and ONE piece of bacon on it, and a box that had a bun and toppings, with no patty and no fries. I am SO confused with how something like this occurred and shocked that I paid SO much for nothing that I would consume. I hope the cook does not lose his job, but I also seriously hope that this restaurant pays more attention to what they send out via doordash. This was the biggest joke of an order I’ve ever received and we’re still shocked that this is what we were given.
I offered to send pictures of proof directly to Susan and she stated that she did not feel comfortable with that. The second time I called, I asked to send pictures to her email and she stated “I thought you were coming in now,” followed by that the cook will get spoken to from the head. It was at this point that I felt that the Uber was too expensive, and I did not want the cook to be at risk for...
Read moreI'm not one to typically write reviews about my experience, but overall had a terrible experience and would not recommend this location to anyone solely because of the attitude of the workers and manager at this location. I have always had pleasant experiences at this restaurant in general, but this was extremely unlike any other experience. I had rewards built up from going here so I had one free pizookie and one free appetizer. I was picking up another order for my friend for a free pizookie. I was approached at my car for curbside that I had to pay $6 for the order with no clear explanation or that it was 'due to tax reasons'. However, on the app my total was the paid amount and I have never arrived at the restaurant and was told that I owed additional fees after redeeming my reward. And for the price of my order, $6 tax does not even make sense mathematically. I asked for greater clarification and showed the worker my e-mail where he told me I can come speak to the manager inside. Once inside, I received rude looks from another worker there and on several occasions saw her glance at the male co-worker as if I was the problem. Having six years working in customer service and being a former hostess/food-runner/waitress, this is not how you treat other people. I also know that I am not entitled to tip any workers providing me poor service, and that they should not expect a tip for the poor quality service they are providing. The manager then explained that because I combined rewards, I owe $6 for 'tax' when on the other order I was picking up with a reward, there was no apparent tax on that order. I was more confused by the lack of explanation for the $6 I owed, because the receipt clearly stated what my bill was online and if that does not reflect the charges in store then maybe it is a problem in the system that they should address. The manager notes to the other two workers 'I guess the register will just have to come up $6 short' as if it is my fault for this occurrence. Do not go to this restaurant unless you want the workers to try and make you feel uncomfortable at their own mistake and lack of understanding of their own system prices. I could not believe my experience here and the negative atmosphere of the workers, and do not recommend the service here. Also two weeks prior, I had a to go order and they messed up the flavor of the pizookie as well. Overall, very immature attitude of the staff here and probably the worst experience I have had in...
