I have been eyeing out Capital Musubi since I saw a couple of videos of this place. Went there with a lot of high hopes but were they met? Let’s find out. For starters, ordering here is a really smooth experience. The Kiosks they have designed are pretty fast and convenient to order. Every item has a description of the main ingredients going in it. Service is quick. You can eat there which I recommend doing. The fresher they are consumed the better. You can take them to go as well. Food is bland. As much as I want to write something nice about it, the food is really bland. There is a ton of rice but not enough filling. Whatever filling it has is really bland. If I have to pour a ton of sauce to make something taste like anything then the Musubi itself is not doing a great job. I ordered a ton of food here and none of it was satisfying as far as the taste goes. A tad bit disappointed and probably is going to be my last time devouring this many rice with a tiny bit of filling. 2.2/5 it is.

My husband and I ate dinner here before going to see a show at Capital One Hall. We shared the Loco Moco, El Diablo, and Spicy Salmon musubi, as well as an order of bacon macaroni and the mango and pineapple sparkling drinks. The Loco Moco was excellent - the gravy it came with was so flavorful I could have eaten it with a spoon. The El Diablo, true to its name, was VERY spicy - not for the faint of heart! - but I loved that it was packed with big chunks of chicken. The Spicy Salmon was my least favorite of the bunch because it wasn’t as texturally interesting as the others, but still good. The bacon mac was warm and tasty and the drinks were perfectly sweet. I did wonder why all our food was packed up for us in a to-go bag even though we ordered for dine-in (and I noticed this was the case for the other diners around us, too) - it seemed like a waste of plastic. Still, we loved our meal here. Please open a location in Rockville, MD so we can eat here all the time!

I recommend Capital Musubi. I tried the seasonal kungpao musubi and the tuna musubi. Both were excellent. I paired my musubi with mac n cheese, miso, and stir fried bokchoy(not pictured) from the Chinese restaurant directly across the hallway. That Chinese restaurant sells stir fried water spinach in addition to bokchoy. I recommend you buy some Chinese vegetables from across the hallway and pair it with this musubi for best results. 3 stars because of "dine in" packaging. The self order kiosk asks if you want dine in or takeout. There isn't a difference, both are wrapped in plastic. Capital Musubih wraps all of the food in plastic, even the soup, which is unhealthy because they put plastic wrap underneath the soup lid which comes in direct contact with the soup. If Capital Musubi didn't wrap all of their food in plastic I would give them 5 stars.

i really like the tofu bowl here!! it has perfect combinations + has a salad option! today is my 2nd time here as this is one of the only clean eating options for me in the Mall

i’m here just within the opening hour + the many staff people (walking around + beside me) don’t even speak, no hi, no smile; nothing. i think service should still matter even if it is fast + we order on screens

after placing my order i requested to sub the bowl tofu for the pan fried tofu made in the musubi. the lady said okay + my food came out almost immediately with just slightly warm firm tofu. not at all panfried

i mentioned to the same lady who also made it that it wasn’t pan fried. she grabbed a glove + grabbed the tofu in my bowl and said “but it’s hot, see, touch it” while holding it at me

i repeated twice “it isn’t made pan fried’ + she continued repeating herself with the pieces of firm ‘slightly warm’ not pan fried tofu in her hand. i gave in + she dropped the handed tofu back in my bowl

i ate it of course because im hungry + wont argue because this place clearly doesn’t know how to customer service

sadly, i will...

This place used to be called the Poke Works but now they have changed the name with a new menu. So we decided to go in and try it out since Poke Works was a good place to eat.

We were basically the only guest that came into the restaurant thinking why is it not busy during lunch??? But decided to try it out anyways.

To order food they had tablets you're suppose to use to place your food order which seemed very time consuming, and the location where the tablets are placed in the restaurant is ridiculous!! It would be a mess trying to order food if they were ever busy.

After placing our order it took the chefs about 15mins to prepare. Once we received our food the employee (young Asian female) literally just slammed our Togo bag on the countertop... She did not say anything to acknowledge us so we took our food and went to tryout what we just ordered. The food we ordered was absolutely disgusting!!!!

We're never returning to this place.... I expect them to close their business by the end...
