So my wife took me out tonight for my birthday and we thought we would try this new place. Wasn’t very crowded which was a bonus for Union Landing which is a busy restaurant spot. We were met and seated pretty fast. The waitress came up and asked for our order. We told her we had never been there and could she explain how the place worked (it’s a pour your own beer place). After a very brief and quick explanation we asked about some menu items. So they had items on the menu pictures that are either not on the menu or the server did not know of them. Also out of all seafood and veggie platters. So we told her to give us a few minutes to look over the menu and get back to us.

They had at least 4 waitress and a hostess plus what we assumed were 2 floor manager ( looked like sisters and possibly owners). 30 minutes go by and we decided to leave. Since the server was preparing another table for a large party along with another waitress and 2 floor managers. No one ever came back to us.

So we went the the cashier and said we had a bad experience and that it was a shame that no one wanted to take our order!!!!

The hostess asked if we would reconsider and we politely declined We had only poured a total of 7.2 ounces. We were just trying the beers ( they charge by the ounce) The bill was $6.56

The hostess goes to the back to what “we assume was to talk to a manger about our bill” now while this was going on a customer with a baby in his arms starts asking me why I had a bad time and then stated that the waitress that helped us was his girlfriend and they were having problems and that he should not be there tonight???? I said well that was too bad and that we still had a bad experience. By this time the manger came our to ask what happened and now our original server was cashing us out.

No explanation. No refund ( not that we wanted it) and she asks us about the service while the waitress was right next to us. Kind of unprofessional in my opinion.

We left. End of a long story.

Bad service “Could care less attitude” Limited menu for food Odd menu for beer place And out of menu items And out of...

Came to Pacific Pourhouse on a Saturday night. We made a reservation but sadly it wasn't needed. Unfortunately, the curb appeal of the restaurant is not one to bring in foot traffic. They will definitely need to rely on their reviews and word of mouth. I've never been to a place where there was a wall of taps where you can pour for yourself and try as many flavors as you wish, AND they are all reasonable prices! Like 50 cents per ounce! For beer lovers, this is awesome! I had their Blackberry Cider, and it was really tasty! I would say the food is decent and a little better quality than standard bar food, but it could improve by serving fresh hamburger patties where they can adjust how well you want it cooked. And the fries were nothing special, nor were they hot. The tuna salad had quite a lot of meat and looked fresh, with plenty of avocado. The crab, shrimp, and garlic noodles were tasty. I would've loved me crab as it tasted very good and fresh, and for the price, you would think there would be more. The shrimp portion was quite plentiful, and they weren't overcooked. I do think it would be an improvement if they used the grilled shrimp they sell. It would add more depth to the dish. I wanted to ask for chili flakes and lemon to bring it up a notch, but we rarely saw the waitress. Sadly, I think because of the slow business, they only had two servers for the entire restaurant. I would return to allow our beer loving friends to...

This was the worst experience EVER !! made my reservation because knew that it was Valentine's Day and it would be crowded. When we got there we was told to sear ourselves the table we wanted was dirty even though the place was fairly empty so we waited the short wait for it to be cleaned. ordered the Crab and Shrimp Pasta and a glass of Cabernet my husband ordereda surf and turf burger. Even though yhe waiter explained that the crab was imitation crab meat was still willing to try it, my husband was later told that they didn't have the surf and turf burger... EVERYTHING we wanted they didn't have so he decided to order the hangover burger and fries he wanted the hot mess fries but they didn't have those either. We waited 40 minutes before our food was given to another table and then brought back to us we waited another five minutes before we were acknowledged again so that we could get some utensils constantly asked for our drinks at least if was drunk would have a better mood but for some reason we never got them, then asked the owner how much was the beer because it was self pour he never gave a definitive answer but said you pay for what you drink, asked the waiter and she said the beer is charged by the ounce but again never said what the price was. We finaly decided to leave the mediocre food there and leave. We will not be going...

Staff are friendly and attentive given it's 70% self-serve. Wristband tagging system and final payment were easy and straightforward. Price was on higher end for a few glasses of beer, but not insane. Self-pour is a novel freedom, but tap-to-tap consistency in measuring (ie $) and quality is an utter gamble - even for the same tap in the space of an hour. Variety of beers is pretty reasonable for a single visit - not sure how much it changes week-to-week. Can't comment on food. Atmosphere of the place is simply atrocious. The physical, visual, auditory and emotional experience is depressing and borderline uncomfortable. I would describe the feeling as "sitting within a shipping container". It's not a pub or a restaurant, but it's trying to be both. I was expecting a place that owned the beer-tasting experience and played up to that: instead, I feel like the system/concept could be better applied at your local liquor store. Redoing the interior design to remove the "empty echo" has to be a start. Switching out the furniture for something that encourages socialization between parties (eg German Beer Hall seating) could do wonders too... Legitimately believe a few small tweaks could do wonders to make this a standout, go-to place in this area!!

My rating is only based on the food I got because I took it Togo. I was craving fish and chips and saw that this location had some so I decided to get it Togo. Once I brought it home it looked good came with a nice heaping mound of fries, it had a side a coleslaw, tater sauce, and ketchup. However once I started eating, it was clear this was very poor quality. The batter on the fish wasn’t crispy it was separating from the fish it tasted like it had no seasoning and the fish was dry. The fries were not crunchy at at, they were soggy and also no seasoning. Also the coleslaw was just drowning in sauce, more sauce than cabbage. I’m not sure it was like this because I took it Togo. I didn’t have a long drive home and it wasn’t siting long enough for it to not be crispy. I would give the fish and chips a 1 star out of 5 only reason I gave a two star here is because I feel like I’m missing the dinner experience with the beers on tap. Im willing to come back and try the dinning experience but I won’t be getting the fish and chips again.
