Michaels — Local services in Union City

I have to say, this Michaels Store location does an outstanding job in making sure the customer feels appreciated and heard. I was in this store's location recently and had made a purchase from their Clearance Section, with the idea that returning some or all of these products was not going to be a problem. I even asked the cashier before I completed the transaction and purchase, just to make sure.

The cashier Karthik, had told me the products were returnable, but when I attempted to return these products, I was unfortunately told they were NOT returnable, that Clearance items are not returnable, that they are final sale, the cashier and store location I had taken them to, were insistent.

So I made a call to the Original Store where these items were purchased from, that was Union City's store and they were willing to honor the return being I was given the wrong information, about Clearance items.

Both Ginger and Julian, were willing to help get these items returned. Julian showed me where on the receipt the information was located that stated Clearance Items are not returnable, unfortunately small printed information on receipts doesn't help when the purchase has already been made.

I would suggest putting signs where the Clearance sections are or the Clearance signs are, that clearly states that these items are Final Sale items, so a customer is fully aware of the policy and what they are getting into with purchasing...

Service was good, but all bets are off if you need to use the restroom.

The restroom is locked and asking to be let in is...

Insulting. I don't care if you need to lock it, that's fine. But being very and vocally impatient that I'm not RIGHT behind you (when someone cuts me off). Questions on how I want this to work (what??) Condescension. "The boys room" when I'm a middle aged man. It was just bizarre.

And off-putting. We weren't moochers. We spent real money.

The other service was good, but the ordeal of just wanting to use the restroom in the middle of a lot of shopping... Overshadowed everything.

It was a simple request with a simple solution. Or it should have been. I'm well dressed, grown, clean, spending money... didn't matter.

I wanted to give 2 starts but the other service really was good. It just wasn't...

Today we celebrated my daughters 9th bday at Micheals Union City, CA This was the best birthday party till date I have arranged for kids because of below reasons: Nominally priced even in this inflation Clean big birthday room Fun projects for the kids to occupy and hold their interest. So parents need not worry or run behind them Fantastic party coordinator Ms. ALEXIS who was very patient and great with kids Ability to bring your own food so you need not worry about your guests food preference Good coordination calls before party by store manager Mr. Julian

Last but not least a goody bag for birthday girl based her interests.

All in all best place to hold birthday party for elementary kids. Dont think twice book with Micheals for your kids birthday party.
