TOGO'S Sandwiches — Restaurant in Union City

TOGO’S makes delicious food; this location is touch and go. Their new system is efficient when Brandon is on the register, but otherwise quite ineffective. The staff seem to struggle with following health codes with hair dangling, unclean clothing, and untucked shirts. However, the restaurant is exceptionally clean and spacious—as far as TOGO’S goes. TODAY: The receipt on my order said “12: 02p,” but I didn’t receive my salad until 12:22p. I watched the manager make my salad. He is a taller gentleman, so every time he reached for an item I watched his untucked shirt fall and rest in my salad. I mentioned this sanitation issue while he made my salad and then specifically told him that I watched his shirt go in my food multiple times. He asked if I wanted him to remake the salad, but because I waited so long for the salad I told him “I would prefer if you just tucked in your shirt, so you’re not dipping your shirt in everyone else’s food.” He rolled his eyes and resumed making other people’s food with his shirt flopping into sandwiches and salads. I recognize the generic response will be “see you next time,” but I honestly don’t know if I’m going to return to...

Visited the Union City location on 7-10-2022.. server 294254 (young male cashier) wasn’t friendly and very rude! Paid $45.77 for 3 lg sandwiches which seemed to bother the young females having to work rather than stand around..your staff isn’t customer friendly and lacks service for which I paid.. possibly they need retraining or spoken to by mgmt! My husband visited same location on 7-8-2022 and came across the same rude non friendly lack customer service young male cashier…lost his order and took20 minutes to make a lg sandwich Will not be returning to this location due to extremely poor customer service! I give this place a solid 5. Customer service was absolutely great. I was in line and each customer was being addressed as smoothly as possible. When my turn came up, I was greeted with a smile and my sandwich was briskly made. The manager handled everything with ease and great care. The sandwich tasted excellent. And they have one of those new automated soda machines which is a great plus. Employess seemed like they were attentive and enjoyed the work. My experience was so good I even came back a second time just to absorb the atmosphere of the shop. All I bought was a drink and a brownie but it was well worth the visit.
