WOW. Let me just start with that. I ordered for pickup via Yelp on a Saturday at around 2 pm. I will say that parking is tough in that area so if you can go with another person to have them run down and grab the food, that would probably be best. Seating is limited as the place is very small. There's maybe 5-6 tables and they were all taken at the time.

I ordered the al pastor tacos (4 per order) and the chorizo quesadillas (3 per order). The tacos were good. They also come with a side of some radishes and cucumbers. But the star was the quesadilla. Even after transit, it was still crispy. These were packed with ingredients - lots of chorizo, cheese, and lettuce (and possibly some crack). Both are served with a side of this hot sauce and green salsa, which I loved and smothered on my food.

The quality and price point is amazing. I feel like at a lot of Mexican places I've ordered from, you can only have one or the other but not at Viva Mexico. I think this might be the best Mexican food I've had in the area, and also the cheapest, which is rare. I almost don't want to write that because I want to be selfish and keep that a secret, but at the same time, I feel like everyone should know about this place because it's just that great.

Can't wait to come back soon! The breakfast plates and the tortas sound really good so maybe I'll go with that next. I've found my new favorite...

I really was looking forward to this place after reading reviews, but i not only did not like my food, but also my stomach was doing somersaults all night.

First, the service is the only reason i gave 2 stars. They were very nice. Thank you.

Second, the food. The chips they gave us were rock hard. Not a fan. And the salsa was 2 choices of self squeeze bottles, which i struggled to only touch with a napkin cause how many people be squeezing this bottle?! One was a greenish with a little taste and the other was like a watered down yellow orange color, and it didn't really taste like anything except "wet." I ordered a carnitas burrito and it came cut in half, showing me the inside blandness that was headed for my mouth. It really only tasted like i was eating an avocado burrito. All the food lacked real flavors. Then my stomach was possessed by the spirit of a haunted burrito all night and the altar was my toilet.

My unhappiness of eating here really stems from the fact that there are SO many great latin food places to eat around here that have so much good flavor, but i wasted my once a month...

I bought there several times before, until today. Today was the last time. I never had problems before, and I was always assisted by a young lady, very polite, and she really paid attention to my needs regarding my order. But today, I was helped by man, who didn't really helped me well. I ordered a "torta de chorizo" with the bread well toasted, as it is my regular order. But when i got home, I encounter myself with just flavorless plain ground beef and the bread wasn't toasted all. It looks like if it was heated on the microwave instead. And the top of the cream... Before I used to ask for a side of red sauce, those liitle dressing containers, and I never had a problem with that. But today, that man wanted to charge me for it.

So, I ended up throwing my meal to the garbage and wasted time, food and money. Very poor service by that man.. It seems like he is just there for the money and not really for "helping...

Hello my foodies! So a friend recommended this place and I had to take a look! We went here after work to get some dinner. Since it's in the Union City, Bergenline area, the parking was impossible, so we had to order it to go. The restaurant was also very small, but nicely done. The workers were super friendly and inviting. The food was a great price for what we ordered and a good portion size. The taste was pretty good. I can't complain about anything other than no parking! I got the pozole and quesadillas and both were pretty good. Their pozole comes with 2 tostadas, which were very tasty. My friend had the flautas and they give you 5 per order, so that was great for portion. Their green sauce was a little plain, not spicey at all, but good for me if you are not a spicey person! I recommend giving this place a try if you are near by.

It’s a small place to sit so you might be better off getting a take out or delivery, otherwise it’s a great food spot. Their prices recently changed and before were really economic to stop by. It’s more like other places now. 4 Tacos for 12 now. They can modify some so if you can speak Spanish you probably can get the best out of it. A little chips is included and free. No water. Bring Your water or buy a bottle. The food tastes great and authentic. They now add 18% tip to your bill. And there is an extra charge for using card. Parking is hard to find if you drive.
