SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO A COUPLE MINUTES DOWN THE STREET TO EMILY'S BAKERY. they're actually very friendly and overall better service and food. my best friend is portuguese and got me into portuguese bakeries. she reccommended this one since Emily's was closed for the day. i called in and ordered a sandwich for a pick up. i get there, ask for my order and the girl at the counter proceeds to tell me theres a 10$ minimum. i wish she wouldve told me that on the phone but whatever. i went and got a drink to add to my order. and she proceeded to tell me i was only at 8$. I kindly asked if she'd please be able to ring it up even tho i wasn't at the minimum (like some establishments so kindly do sometimes) and she sharply says "nope. it has to be 10$" so i proceeded to ask her if she could tell me what other items i can get to meet the minimum. very rudely she goes "idk whatever is there." as she points away. (OK. i'm obviously asking you cus you work there and you would obviously be better fit to help me.) So again i ask what specific items could help me reach the minimum and she sucks her teeth, seems very inconvenienced/annoyed and very rudely begins to list off possible items. at this point i almost just walked out and was gonna leave the sandwich there because of how rude she was being but i didn't stoop that low...i finally got 2 more items. she takes my card. doesnt say another word. i asked if i needed to sign a receipt and she goes "nope." while still seeming preoccupied on the screen and ignoring me. never been treated so rudely at a place before. im an afro-latina Dominican and even left wondering if she was just racist or what because even when i walked in she seemed put off by me walking in until i mentioned i called in an order. NEVER coming here again. I even told my friend that reccomended me and she felt terrible. Do yourself a favor and just go to Emily's. Theyre great...

First experience during the town’s 2024 Easter Scavenger Hunt was nice and I experienced the best red velvet cupcake I’d had in town so far. The frosting was an actual cream cheese frosting ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went in for a cupcake the other day and walked out with a whole red velvet cake. The outer frosting and coating of crumbs was stale and tasted like a refrigerator. I thought it was just me bc I’m a little sensitive, so I had my husband try and same result. ⭐️

I called the bakery the next day (today) and the bakery assistant was very apologetic and helpful. Bit of a language barrier, but I speak Spanish semi-fluently so it helped her get a better understanding of the situation. She asked me to bring the cake back in so the owner could see it and offered to make a new one for pick up at my convenience. She was sweet from start to finish. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When I went to the bakery the next day to pick up the replacement cake no one knew what I was talking about and the owner couldn’t be reached. I was offered another red velvet cake from the display case and assured that they had seen it “come out today”. When I brought it home and tried it, it was so dry and the frosting was not smooth but tacky kind of like something left in the fridge uncovered for a few days. At least the cake didn’t taste like a refrigerator this time… I just give up on these guys. I’m not going back again. I can sadly get a fresher tasting red velvet cake from Walmart at half...

Ive never left a review before. I have to be honest and say I’m disappointed in the two tier cake I ordered for my sisters shower. It was dry even after I asked for it to specifically not be dry but instead on the “wet” side. They told me they could add a little “ tres leches” but not too much and I said ok whatever you can do so it’s not dry cake. I called from the shower after taking a few bites to let them know I was unhappy and their response was “sorry it’s a two tier cake it has to be on the dry side”….To top it off I asked them for a baby on its belly sleeping as a topper, and flowers which I provided them. The baby was made in 5 mins covered with a square of fondant as a blanket. It’s a busy weekend with Easter but I’m sorry.. take an extra 10 mins for someone who’s paying all this money for a...
