I will finally share this life and death story. It all started when I came here during a party. I should have known the night was going wild when a client I ran into had me pick which school his daughter would go to. I wonder to this day if I made the right choice. I then nearly won the shake at the bar on my first try. I got 4 out if 5 dice and won a free drink of the finest alcohol. I then got so drunk that I woke up in the early am hours in the dark on the island. The ferry was closed so I had no choice but to build a raft and try to swim fully clothed back to St Croix. All I could find for my raft was an old tire that had a decayed styrophome rim for some reason, an old pool noodle, a plank of driftwood, and some vines. I paddled for what seemed like hours while holding my phone and my wallet in one hand above the water. All I could see below me was darkness. Read moreWe stopped by Rolling Stone in St. Croix for a quick bite and ended up getting the hot dogs and mac and cheese. The food was actually pretty tasty, simple comfort food done right. The hot dogs were solid and the mac and cheese had a nice creamy texture.
However, one downside that stood out was the lack of drinks. They didn’t have anything available to buy, which was a bit of a letdown, especially in the Caribbean heat. We had to go next door to the bar to grab something to drink, which wasn’t a huge deal, but definitely took away from the overall experience.
If you're in the area and craving something casual and quick, it's worth a stop, just make sure you plan...
