D Grill Boy — Restaurant in Upland

Allisyn has the worst customer service and is giving this business a bad rep. Yesterday we placed an order over the phone, steak and Cajun chicken w/white rice, for pick up @ 4:40pm. Allisyn repeated the order and showed us the food when we got there. Everything was fine until I started eating my food and noticed that the chicken didn’t taste like Cajun, instead it tasted just like salt and pepper. I went in to ask Allisyn for the seasoning since it was missing and she explained that the Cajun chicken is preseasoned. She said they can remake it, but when I asked for the wait time she started arguing with me and stating that we never ordered Cajun chicken, however we did. She repeated the order back to us over the phone, but of course it didn’t show Cajun on the receipt. Which is an issue on her end, not ours. She had an attitude and said she couldn’t do anything for us and I asked why she couldn’t fix this issue when we paid $20 for this meal. When I asked for her name, she wouldn’t give it to me (it was on my receipt). I told her I will speak to her manager tomorrow. While I walked out the door she was still screaming at me. How embarrassing when there’s guests eating at the restaurant. I guess this is what happens when you hire young kids, this young generation is so rude and disrespectful. I will never...

My wife and I went there for the first time today and ordered a $20.59 meal to share (hibachi steak, chicken, and shrimp). Everything was served in throw-away plastic containers. Although we thought it was overpriced, it tasted good and was enough for both of us. The tiny salad that came with it was under-whelming, however, and consisted almost entirely of lettuce. I ordered a regular black iced tea (for $4.59, which was grossly overpriced) and when I asked for a refill, was told I could not have one. I asked the server to inform management that, although the food was OK, we would not be back. They lost us over a refill of iced tea, which is very inexpensive to make. That was very tacky. You’re not going to go out of business for providing a refill of an overpriced ice tea. It also makes them appear really cheap, which is the reason we won’t...

I take pride in being absolutely thorough with my reviews so I take so much joy in saying that this place is 110% recommend by me. The staff was super friendly. Natalia, (That's what it said on my receipt) she answers all my questions and was super kind. Then when it comes to portions, Geezus. This place is so generous with their portions for the price. sheeesh. The large milk tea was way larger than I expected. Also it was so much food, I definitely had leftovers for the next day. the combo comes with a soup or salad. so next day, I heated it up on the microwave and typically veggies for me are not good leftovers but I f*'d them up. I cleaned out the container. it was just as good the next day, reheated. I will definitely go back. 10/10....
