Honestly this was not a good experience. I ordered online, arrived 15min after the pickup window, and it still wasn't ready. The whole place was dark and they didn't answer the phone when I called, I had to come near the kitchen to get their attention and then I waited 18 minutes to get my food even though the food was supposed to be ready before I even arrived... that would have been fine for me if the food was good but it really wasn't.
The chicken tikka masala did not come with rice which was super disappointing because I had to make some at home which took extra time and ingredients when I just wanted dinner. It is absolutely way too expensive to not come with rice. For $17, I really would like rice. The texture if the tikka masala was really weird and it just did not taste good. Not subtly sweet at all, not memorable, not worth it.
We also ordered chicken biryani. The chicken on both dishes tasted like shredded chicken, like it was frozen before, and I don't know if that's true or not but that's how it tastes. The texture and taste were insanely bland. The aloo paratha was not my favorite and left a gross taste in my mouth. I liked the laccha paratha which is why this review has 2 stars...
Also, the online ordering system on their website is weird about tips. I tried to manually type in a custom tip and when I added it, it automatically added the highest default tip option with no way to remove it! I like tipping food service workers well because it's respectful so I left it on but was disappointed there was no way to alter it on their website without redoing the entire order. Also, after the experience I had and the dismissive way staff treated me in store, I don't really feel it was deserved.
I would not recommend...
Read moreI recently revisited Aroma Indian Grill after they relocated a few blocks away, and the difference is remarkable! The food has significantly improved and now truly feels like authentic Indian cuisine. I ordered the spicy chicken tikka masala, medium dal makhani, garlic naan, and tandoori rotis. Each dish was bursting with flavor, with the perfect balance of spices and freshness. The chicken tikka masala had the right level of heat, and the dal makhani was creamy and comforting, just as it should be.
The bread options were equally impressive. The garlic naan was perfectly soft yet crisp, with just the right amount of garlic flavor. The tandoori rotis were well-cooked and complemented the curries beautifully. It’s clear that there’s been attention to detail in elevating the flavors and overall quality of the food.
The customer service has also improved noticeably. The staff were attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed. It felt like they genuinely cared about the dining experience, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
Overall, Aroma Indian Grill has come a long way, and it shows in both the food and service. If you’re craving authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine, this place is definitely worth trying again—even if you’ve been let down before. The improvements...
Read moreWe rented the banquet room for our son wedding rehearsal dinner. The new owner quoted a price per person and never mentioned a minimum. We made all the arrangements and once we finalized the head count 38. I was told by him a week before the event that he could not host the event unless the head count was 50. It was too late to book something else. He required us to pay for 50. He made derogatory comments about the white people not understanding how business works to our future Indian inlaws. At the event when we were asked to pay the balance. We were the told that he could not accept credit cards. We were not told this prior and had paid the deposit with a credit card. In our formal wear we did not have cash or check book with us. He had the wait staff tell us that he could accept a credit card but would charge an extra 5%. We own a business and are fully aware that the maximum the credit card companies charge is 3.75%. He was clearly just trying to take further advantage. The owner is a crook. I do not recommend patronage of this...
