The place looks cool and popular, but don’t be fooled. Especially not by the recommendation of a cosplaying angel all decked in white, ahead of you in line. Not one that says something along the lines of “the mango yogurt drink is to die for”. I am paraphrasing (I hope…)
Honestly, I am not sure which show the angel costume came from. But the drink recommendation came from somewhere far more nefarious than heaven. The fact that I am writing this, waiting for the bedding laundry to finish at three in the morning tipped me off…
We received the yogurt and it was as delicious as promised. Basically a tasty mango lassi. By nighttime, we have all been working through food poisoning of varying severity. Our little girl, wise beyond her years, only took a tiny sip. Yet, it was enough for the poison to take hold of even her. I will spare you the details, but analogies to The Exorcist have been made.
I am curious whether this was a one-off act of dietary malfeasance, or is this place straight up unsafe. There were some strange things happening that I brushed off at the time. It was all very tasty after all. But I am not curious enough to try again.
Too long? Did not read? Do not try the mango...
Read moreThis was my first time dining at this restaurant. I ordered a shrimp Hibachi meal, a large bottle of spring water, and asked to PURCHASE a large cup of ice. My request was met with rudeness and a blatant refusal. The employee offered me a small 8 oz? styrofoam cup of ice, I repeated my request, thinking that perhaps he thought that I was asking for a complimentary cup. I explained that I would be BUYING the actual beverage...however, I only needed the ice. When the managers refused again, I asked them how much the plastic cups cost individually because I'd just paid $18+ $2.00+ for a TIP for my meal. Once again, I explained that I would be BUYING the cup...I only needed ICE, not the tea beverage. The manager rudely said that they'll charge me $1, filled the cup with ice, and loudly slammed the cup on the counter. Needless to say, I will NOT return to this restaurant. (The meal, itself, was sub par, lacked flavor. I've, without doubt, had much better Hibachi meals from other restaurants...Explore other...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE!! Went to eat here for the first time last night. There was no line, but the order of hibachi took over 10 minutes. When I walked up to the counter to see what the delay was, I saw in their open kitchen that there was 3 workers, where 1 appeared to making the food but they also were eating food from another bowl next to the prep counter and what appeared to be my food all while using their phone in between their getting the food ready and not wearing gloves the whole time.
I was in disbelief of all I was seeing. I went up to the counter, said to the cashier all of what was I seeing and they were speechless and said nothing to my telling them of what I witnessed. I asked for a refund and if the manager was there. They gave me a refund after some hesitation and said there was no manager working that night. I have half a mind to call OSHA on this. I never got to taste their food and never would recommend it for the sheer fact that their employees don't follow government and safe food...
