Top notch food, great event location!!! We hosted our event (about 40 guests) last weekend at the "House of India" and it could not have gone any better! To start with the food is top notch. We have been to the restaurant before and absolutely loved their food. All the staff are very friendly and courteous. They have a separate room set up for events with a beautiful barn door for privacy. The room is elegantly decorated with beautiful chandeliers and lighting! These were the main reasons why we chose them as the location for our event. For the event, we picked the dishes for the buffet based on the restaurant guidelines. The staff (Karthik, Robert, Happy) were very cooperative and helpful when we were decorating/setting up for the event. During the event, the food was served on time and as expected, of great quality. All our guests had wonderful things to say about the food and the location. Akash(owner) and Happy (manager) constantly checked in with us during the event to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel at home. After the event the staff helped us wrap up our stuff before the cleaning commenced. We could not have asked for a better location to host our event! Thank you Akash, Happy, Karthik and Robert! You made our event very special and memorable. Looking forward to having more events at your location!

Me and my friends decided to try a new Indian restaurant. Looking at the reviews we found House of India and decided to dine there. When we reached, I felt restaurant ambiance is quite decent we ordered chicken manchurian and chili chicken for appetizers and both tasted the same and it was bad. the only difference between the two are, one is chicken with sauce and other one is onions with chicken with same sauce 😂 We then ordered main course. 2 of my friends ordered chicken fried rice ,trust me I don’t know what that chef was even thinking, has the chef ever tasted the fried rice that he/she had made We ordered 911 chicken curry I’m pretty sure that chicken was not fresh at all, you can find the pictures attached we did not eat anything. We decided to go with desserts and ordered chocolate lava, rasamalayi, and rice pudding except chocolate lava both were good. Chocolate lava is old getting smell On top of all, this place is expensive with no value for money Note: if I have option zero rating I will definitely use that option according to me 1 star also more for this restaurant

Again brought the kids for the buffet lunch. (which is served family style, not a traditional buffet) They upped the price to $15.99 on the weekdays and they now charge full price for kids. The food is still excellent, but the cost seems awfully high for 2 chicken dishes and no paneer or goat. What really bugs me and the reason for such a drop in rating is now you are charged $2.99 per container to take leftovers. So $16 for a 5 year old to eat a bowl of rice and if I would like to take the meal I paid for that she didn't eat, I'm now paying $18 for it? The dosa is listed as $8 on the menu, I was charged $9 and no free box to take the leftovers either. I asked about the charge, shouldn't you get 1 box per meal? But apparently the owner's new policy is one box per table or you pay. Again, the food is good, but not $70+ for an adult and 3 young kids to have lunch good. Shagun in Collegeville is every bit as tasty, the buffet is more varied, it is much more reasonable and you won't be nickle and dimed. We obviously won't be back.

My experience here left a bad taste in my mouth. The hostess was rude from the moment I walked in. I should've taken that as a sign and left. I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time I was there because it was a very unpleasant experience. The hostess was pushy and rude. Also. I wanted to treat my boyfriend to a nice experience but it was anything but that. I left upset because I ordered dessert and a drink and received them in to go containers. Why would you do that if the customers are eating in. I felt like I was getting an attitude. Also, I was still using some sauces on the table, without asking the rude hostess literally swiped it right off the table right in front of me. I informed her that I was still using it and she rudely responded in a way I didn't like in order to justify why she took the items off the table in the first place. I spent almost $100 and am deeply aggravated and annoyed. I will never give them my money again. Rude for no reason and completely disrespectful. The dessert was nasty anyway. I wish I could get my money back. As a matter of fact, as I walked in I was told that I couldn't sit at a certain table because apparently I couldn't afford it. I was told that I had to spend at least a minimum of $200 to sit at the table. I've never experienced that in my life and am quite insulted and...

We visited this worst place today , firstly there was a lady in front desk when we entered restaurant her eye brows was raised and looking at us we asked for table she said take that table fine till this point next we asked for menu same lady took our order and I was just checking for water price the answer was “TAP WATER IS FREE “ very rudely is their any rule that should not check price ? More over food was not so great as quoted prices , the lady is behaving as if we are having food for free, as we observe she was behaving differently with other customers and us ? So accordingly checking water prices make her behave rude with us ? The way of receiving is completely different from we enter the restaurant till we stepped out . Please behave and act like human if customers are behaving rude can you take that behavior? If you own place that mean your doing business we are paying for you no one is served for free at your place . Disclaimer- we didn’t do anything when we entered rather then asking for table and checking water price , I know you guys can’t take criticism and respond as FOR EVERY ACTION THEIR IS REACTION, first we entered and lady eyebrow was raised so action was from front desk lady even reaction is from them so just writing review what we experienced is not bothered? make sure I don’t...
