This place is just like the best local businesses in Hawaii - small business in a strip mall...
Chicken Katsu with both the gravy & curry was sooo ono! Hubby had the grilled chicken salad and that was just as good!
Both had very generous portions of chicken - and the chicken was juicy and tasty. Both are favorites for us. (Sorry, no pics - we were too busy digging in...)
The staff was very friendly and helpful - when I couldn't decide between the gravy & curry, they suggested I get both, so I'll know which one I want in the future (yes, charged a little extra, but the portion was worth it, even though I still couldn't decide which one I loved better...)
Oh, and when we went back inside to thank them, we ended up getting the malasadas with cream cheese dipping sauce... (Warning for you purists - they are smaller than Leonard's, but the smell and taste made us smile as we wolfed down half before we even made it back to the freeway..)
We live on the peninsula, but this will be a regular stop when in...
Read moreHaven't had Hawaiian bbq for a while, stopping by this area while traveling and looking for lunch.
Give it a try and definitely impressive! I talked to the workers they said they just opened for few days and it's new place. Food was fresh and hot. The amount of food that I got for their menu price is worth. I bought their garlic shrimp, recommended! It was really good.Usually shrimps items always come with few pieces but this place is generous.Shrimps are good size not small shrimps. Healthy choices comes with stir fry veggies with broccoli, macaroni salad, steam rice. The combo that I got has green onions,I'm not a fan of green onions. So if u Don't like green onions, I recommend you to let them know a head of time.Thet are very friendly and accommodating.
They have so many choices. Will be back if I'm traveling to...

Next, the BBQ chicken was also somewhat bland. Although, on the plus side, it wasn’t burnt or tuff. Both entrees are served on top of cabbage, carrot slices and broccoli. To which for me is somewhat unusual for an island plate. And of course, the mac salad. Which would’ve been great had it not been watery.
As for the place, it is small with maybe two tables. Looks like they do lots of catering dishes. I guess this is why it is...
