Rimini Gelato & Chocolate — Restaurant in Vail

Located right across The Blue Moose pizza, at the arabelle in lionshead, this place has amazing gelato and a hot chocolate to die for! Place is not that big but the food packs a delicious punch. It’s a bakery and a gelato place that serves coffee, wine, hot chocolate and also has some food items like, sweet or savory crepes. One of the sweet crepes had brownies, chocolate chips and chocolate syrup with a dollop of whipped cream. The hot chocolate was made with heavy cream and had a caramel taste to it, which gave it a different flavor. First, hours on Google were not updated. So I got there 10 minutes before closing (which, of course, I didn’t know). I understand that September may be a slow month, but it takes you 30 seconds to update information online.

Second, I only wanted a hot chocolate and the lady REFUSED to make it because “she had already cleaned the espresso machine”. Where is the amazing customer service USA was famous for? Very rude!!! If you close at 7pm, it means you welcome customers until 7. And I understand all about wanting to go home, I have worked in hospitality before and we served customers even if they showed up 1 minute...

Gelato was amazing. I love the hot chocolate here. I would make this my regular coffee spot if I could. The atmosphere is great and the service is good. The only downside is that there is only one person running the front so occasionally a line occurs. I want to try everything here. Still quick service, I maybe had to wait 2 minutes for 2 Hot Chocolates, a warmed up chocolate croissant, and two 2 flavor cups of gelato. The flavors I got were Coconut, Caramel, Pineapple, and Strawberry, they were all amazing and I couldn’t finish my 2 flavor cup, they are very generous on...
