I make it a point to post both good and bad reviews, but I focus mostly on the good. This Coldstone in Valpo is THE WORST! I’ve had several problems with this location, my last 3 orders were massively messed up. 2 were through Doordash, 1 was an online order. The 2nd order that I had a problem on, we literally bought $55 worth of Ice Cream and only received less than half the order! We ordered 5 ice creams and 2 waffle bowls. We only received 3 ice creams. But what you all really need to know about is the call I just got from the manager or owner or whoever he is, John I think was his name. He asked me what happened with my 3 orders and at first I thought he was being sincere. When I started telling him about the first 2 issues through DoorDash, he cut me off and said “well you need to take that up with Doordash”. I told him that I already did. Then he (clearly annoyed with me) asked “well what happened last night”. So I began to tell him that I placed an online order for pickup which was for 3 ice creams, 1 shake, and 1 chocolate dipped waffle bowl. Because it was pickup, everything was stapled shut. When I got home, there was no waffle bowl in the bag, which I paid $2.50 for. His voice was clear HE was not happy with ME and told me he was going to give me a $5 in store credit “THIS TIME” but since I’ve now made 3 complaints “this is the last time I’m doing this for you”. I responded back with so I’m not entitled to get what I pay for? His only response was a repeat about the $5 credit. I told him to keep it. I will never go back to a place that treats you like an a-hole for simply asking for what you paid for. I didn’t ask for free ice cream, I didn’t ask for any kind of refund, or anything at all above and beyond what I actually paid for or any other compensation. My ONLY request was for them to allow me to get the waffle bowl, that I essentially pre-paid for, the next time I came in.
If you’re reading this John, or whatever your name is, you should learn to think logically and cool your freaking horses before you go off on a customer that spends on average $40-50 each visit just for ice cream!!! You’ve lost me and my entire extended family and probably all of my friends business...

Give me ur debit card and ill refund it ...ok no problem. He proceeded to write down all my card numbers and security codes and wouldn't give me a receipt or anything. I left and was like no this doesn't feel right. I walked back in told him I didn't feel comfortable.. I wanted the paper back...I got the "mam" proper business nice nasty attitude and told that I could come back in 30 minutes when the manager got there to do the refund or I could just eat it . Im like sor you ARE THE OWNER just give me the cash back or do the refund ...he told me sorry n...
Read moreWas at Menards.. left and saw cold stone. I have not been there in years. Out of curiosity I pulled in and saw they were open until 10pm. 👍I went in and was overwhelmed by the fantastic smells of the candy apples and ice cream.
They have really changed things for the better. There is glass partitions between everything. Snot nose kids can no longer press their face on the ice cream case or even get close to it. No one can.
The girls working were nice, patient and accomodating. I grabbed a small thing of cake batter and cotton candy.
It is delicious !!
