Went with a friend to buy her gaming laptop and a new pair of wireless headphones. Employees were all over yet no one came to help us. Finally after hunting down a lady she rudely stated " Just so you know, we close soon" and slammed the headphones security gate shut. Then asked if we needed anything else. We said we just want to buy a laptop, we know what one and everything and she said she couldn't help us and shouldn't have to begin with because she works service desk. Yet I found her on the main floor talking with 2 other Employees. So I assumed she was just a worker. She then stated she would get someone for us and to meet them there. At that point we made our way to the laptop section and stood there waiting. And waiting. They shut the front grate to the entrance of the store and Employees who would pass by including the small group of them talking with one another by the cell phones just kept staring at us. Like they were expecting us to just leave... when we still were just waiting to get helped to get the laptop. You would think if they were in such a hurry to shut the store one of their 20 employees just standing and staring wouldve been in a rush to get us out. We continued to wait before once again trying to get someone to help us yet the second I start walking towards the group of them they took notice and all scattered. Eventually someone came from the very very front of the store and rushed over to help us. (We weren't the only customers still in the store. There were at least 3 others including another waiting by the gaming area for help.) At least the guy who got to help us at the very end was nice! Very pleasant compared to everyone else's gloomy awful attitude. Just further proves my point as to why I rather shop for my electronics at Costco. I almost always regret going to this specific Best Buy. The other closest location is a million...
Read moreI don't particularly like the best buy in my area, customer service was very poor during my recent trip there.
To pickup a recent order I had trouble with, FedEx is quite terrible on getting my packages to me sometimes. Therefore I had curbside pickup instead. Well normally it goes fine but this time no one came out after repeated attempts letting them know I was there.
I was busy on the phone while I was waiting but after about 30 mins I finished my work on my phone and went inside to inquire why they never came out.
The people working there weren't at all apologetic, which would of defused the situation but I could tell no one really cared. When I finally got told why they said new policy I had to park in the numbered spots otherwise they wouldn't go looking for my car.
Which I would understand completely but I never had any trouble parking in my usual spot before for curbside pickup and on the best buy site they never stayed this policy and even had an option to tell them where I had parked if i wasn't in there numbered parking spots.
The right thing to do would of been to contact the costumer by phone and state they had to either come inside to pickup or they must park in the designated spots. I'm sure they could of looked up my account and phone number and called me instead of keeping me waiting.
This makes me never want to go to best buy again. That's why customer service is so important. I don't think I've have ever been so disappointed in customer service in America. People make your company Best buy, please choose ones that represent you well and care about your company. Rant over
Best buy online has been much better so I know it may be just localized to my...
Read moreI purchased the viper remote start for my car at the beginning of October. The remote start worked for about 2 weeks and then stopped working completely. Then, my theft light came on and my key fob to my car stopped working correctly. Sometimes when I got in my car, it wouldn't recognized that the key fob was in the car and acted as though I did not have the key. I replaced the battery in the fob thinking maybe that battery was dead, however that did not change anything. There were times where I could drive my car somewhere but then get stuck there because when I would try to start my car to leave, it wouldn't recognize the fob. I had to go to a different best buy because I was out of town to see if they could figure out if the remote start is what caused it all to happen. The guy had to completely uninstall the remote start and reset my theft light in order for my key fob to start working correctly again. They determined they sold me a remote start with a faulty t-harness and allowed me to exchange it for a different one but were not able to set up an appointment to install the new one until a week later. So I paid for a remote start to get installed, it caused my theft light to turn on which then started to mess with the key to my car making it so that I could not even start my car sometimes, had to get the remote start uninstalled, and now I have to wait a week before they can reinstall the new one and they offered me no benefits for the inconvenience of it all and did not apologize for everything that...
