Marshalls — Local services in Valparaiso

I was in the store last week looking for a few Mother's Day gifts. When I went to the register to pay a long line of us (7 or 8 other people)waited in line for at least 10 to 15 minutes. There were 3 registers open. One was working on returning items, the other was opening a credit card for 2 grabby women (a store employee was there jabbering with them and just wasting time) and the employee at the third register finished with the sale and then turned her light off and walked away. We were all shocked. Then a few minutes later another girl came and opened another register. When I said we waited too long she had the nerve to tell me that you wait a long time at Walmart. What type of comparison is that??? I don't shop at Walmart and I thought that was very rude. I guess she shops at Walmart and figures everyone else does too. No apology, just a smart mouth. Bad customer service. I like Marshall's in general because they carry very nice clothes and other items. Many stores are closing these days so Marshall's should respect that customers come into the store and they should be treated...

honestly if i could give a 0 star rating i would. my wife and i went shopping for her birthday and were accused of shoplifting by an associate that works in the beauty area. we were smelling perfumes, specifically the ones that arent in boxes or merchandise protection, and she told us we aren't allowed to do that unless we're buying them. the amount of perfumes and other beauty products that dont have boxes anymore from people opening them is ridiculous. we decided to walk away from the area and heard the associate tell another shopper they smelt like cigarettes and repeatedly say that to them. we continued to shop in the store and they decided to make an announcement about shoplifting. my wife and I felt very uncomfortable so we decided to leave behind everything we had selected other than a rae dunn mug she wanted. her accusations lost them a sale and we might...

I absolutely love stopping in Marshall's! Nine times out of ten, I am able to find something unusual at Marshall's. They have quality items at reduced prices. They have regular deliveries and you never know what you're going to find! Yes, I found several pairs of summer shoes this time! They have handicapped accessible entry, and restrooms that are handicapped accessible, plenty of free off street parking, and restrooms. Their dressing rooms are open again. Usually there are several cashiers available at check out, preventing a long wait. I plan to keep shopping there and suggest you stop in and check them...
