Today I placed an order at the Valparaiso location at 11:30 am. I was told that they did not open until 12:00 and that I could pick my order up at 12:15. When I got there, they stated that they changed their hours, they don’t open until 12:30pm. I was then told that someone picked up my order, I asked “who” they said a young man. I questioned how that happened if they don’t open until 12:30 and “ why “ did they give a young man an order for “Lisa” ? I also stated that I had to pay when I ordered. So, they gave a young man my order that I paid for? I laughed and stated I want my soup and now. I finally received my five bowls of soup at 12:45. While waiting, one of the cooks in the kitchen looked at the line, people were lined up outside waiting for them to open. There were about 20 people. She stated to her co-workers “ that is ridiculous! What are we giving away”. Then she proceeded to state “ I wish they gave me something for having to wait on all these people”.
I’m glad, Noodles and Company in Valparaiso has done so well during the pandemic that they can open whenever they feel like it, give away food, and not appreciate customers having a large amount of customers at lunch time. Obviously, Noodles and Company did not feel the economic hardship of the pandemic and don’t need customers. I for one, will never step foot in Noodles and Company again. They have lost...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went to the Valparaiso Noodles and Company as part of our anniversary outing. We've been to this Noodles many times and, as before, we walked in and we're greeted with a friendly face ready to take our order. My boyfriend ordered our food while I found a table. We got our drinks and waited for our food to be brought to the table. After 20-or-so minutes, our order still had not been brought out (which is not usual at all--they are very efficient and get the food to your table quickly!). We had noticed that several groups that arrived after we sat down had already received their food. My boyfriend inquired about our order and it turned out that there was a mishap and that our order had been skipped over. After realizing their mistake, we were apologized to by a few individuals, were brought our complimentary soups (which were fantastic!) and another large drink, and received two vouchers for free entrees!
Both my boyfriend and myself have worked in the service industry and we understand that things get busy and mistakes happen! We really weren't upset about the elongated wait but the measures taken by the staff to ensure our satisfaction were outstanding. This business not only has a great atmosphere and delicious food, they have five star employees-- and THAT is the reason we...
Read moreI placed an order yesterday, Thursday, at 5:36 pm, well before their posted operating hours of 12-8. It was an automated service, not even a real person. It took my order, charged my card, and then stated AFTER that my order would be ready tomorrow (Friday) at 12:04 pm. I tried calling the restaurant itself, no answer, no automated pickup stating they are closed, nothing. I drive out to the location, they are closed, on a Thursday, at 6:07 pm. Now my card is charged for the order, I am going to have to call starting at 11:59 today to cancel, cuz the website claims they will open today at 12:00 pm, but who knows??? If you decide to close randomly, and off the hours you have listed on your website, then you need to set up a voice mail stating such. Especially when someone is placing an order over the phone, that is completely automated, first thing that it should state is that location is CURRENTLY CLOSED. There were also several people who came up and tried to go into the restaurant while I was there and were upset and confused as to why it was closed in the first place. Panda Express got my business, Firehouse subs and Panera were...
