I wish I could give this restaurant negative stars. If I could rate individual employees, I’d give Ericka five stars. My experience: this BK is on my work route. I stop by because of that. I have given this restaurant several chances and I have decided I will only visit when this specific manager is working. The times I have been in, the parking lot is dirty. Trash and food on the ground, expecially by the back of the restaurant. Inside the dining room is always a mess. Garbage overflowing, spills on the ground, dirty tables and booths. It takes forever to order food and more than 15 minutes to get your food. Drink station in dining room is disgusting. Spilled soda, wet straws, no napkins, ketchup everywhere. My burgers are always wrong, cold/hard patties or burnt, cold soggy fries. I have experienced three to four managers now? The one in the morning, an employee named Emily told me the managers name was Lucy, she treats her employees terrible. Yelling at them and putting them down. I’m surprised they allow this to happen. She is not a nice person and likes to argue with the customers. There is a larger one with short hair, again another manager who is on a power trip. Treating her employees like garbage. Always negative and never wants to resolve an issue. Another, is a shorter gal who works at night. She’s the only one who exists in her world. The employees stand around doing nothing and gossip rather than take orders. I left a note to be given to her about the status of her dining room and she threw it away without reading it. Then during one of my bad experiences, I had the pleasure of meeting Ericka. She handled my complaint professionally. She refunded me my money, gave me the meal for free and triple checked it was what I expected. Several customers were happy with her. She never raised her voice at her employees nor did she put them down. In fact, quite the opposite. She said thank you for their hard work and made sure they knew how much she appreciated them. She attempted to make every customer happy also. That night, customers were leaving with smiles on their faces and she made the wait worth it. I wish I knew her schedule, because I would be back. Read moreI will not ever return to the Burger King location off of Fourth Plain across from AutoZone. It was 8pm and there were three cars ahead of us as we pulled into the drivethru, we had to repeat our order several times to the drivethru crew member, We sat in line for over 10 minutes, when we arrived at the window, we sat in our truck for another 5 minutes without being acknowledged in any way. We only ordered two whoppers and a 4 piece mozzarella sticks. I finally spoke through the open window to the young men who seemed very frustrated and confused. I stated why havent you acknowledged us? We have been really patient but our order should be ready by now, we've been in this drivethru for almost 20 minutes. He stated they were very busy and short staffed. I asked to speak with the supervisor or manager. He said shes busy and is sitting in the dining room doing her counts on the computer which has to be in tonight. I said well I'm a waitress of 18 years and I've been employed in several fast food restaurants as a supervisor and she should be helping her crew if yall are so busy, because this the lack of customer service and attention is not acceptable. Is our food going to be cold? I asked if our food was ready if not we would go elsewhere, He then raised his voice and said I will not be abused by you, which was completely uncalled for and obnoxious for him to even say that to me. He then thru down his hands and walked away. We sat there for another few minutes until I got the attention of a female crew member. She asked what the problem was. I told her and she apologized for his erratic behavior and said he was a new hire. At this point we just wanted our Whoppers and cheese sticks. She offered us a dollar off discount, which we told her wasnt necessary. We arrived home three minutes later and our food was cold and the cheesesteaks were hard and cold and the whoppers were also cold and not made correctly. My boyfriend called to speak with the manager, she did not come to the phone, the lady who answered said we will replace them and asked for a name and that was it. We visited this BK on the third day after its grand opening. My fiancé and I didn’t have time to stop home for food, not knowing we’d get stuck here for almost 40 minutes.
We ordered two combos. An original chicken sandwich, with the fries and drink. The employee said it didn’t come with fries. The menu pictured it with fries, and I expressed my confusion about this. She just said “Ok”. My fiancé ordered the tendercrisp sandwich. She asked if he wanted the bacon and eggs on it. He declined and said he didn’t know it came with that, clarifying that it was a tendercrisp sandwich.
At the time of the ordering, it was ~11:10AM. We sat behind one car the whole time, and got to the window at 11:30. The food still wasn’t ready, and we get our receipt which listed two breakfast combos. Huh? The lunch menu was posted this whole time, there was no indication they were making breakfast.
We were hungry so we let them redo it. The person taking our order looked at us like we were making the food items up. We got our second receipt and again, it showed food we didn’t order. The manager got involved, apologetic and very frazzled. I get that people have to go through training, but nobody was on the same page here. It was like they pulled random people off the street that day and just told them to cook.
Almost 11:50 and the manager asked if we wanted to try again, but we didn’t trust the food here. She reversed the charges to our card and asked that we try another time. This place had no reviews the day we visited. Looking at the reviews now, I don’t think I could come back. So sad that the only Carl’s Jr. in central Vancouver was replaced by this. Try another...
