First time eating at this restaurant. Parking was a bit difficult (located in a very busy shopping strip). We placed our order, employees seemed happy. We waited a bit for our food to be ready, my husband even got up to ask on the status of his order (they delivered mine to the table, not his). Food was good, no complaints here. I asked where the rest rooms are because I did not see a sign or even worse a door or area where one could think it would be located. The employee said I had to leave the restaurant, walk around the building, the second door was the bathroom. I thought to myself "wait, what!". Yes, you have to go outside and find the door in the back of the restaurant. Once I entered, I realized I was entering to the kitchen, employees where looking at me like "what are you doing here". The bathroom floor was slippery. I did not feel safe at all. Washed my hands and run back to the front of the building. Very weird setting, one would think the restrooms would be inside of a restaurant. And not going back to this place EVER.

This is the most legit Mexican restaurant we have found so far in Vancouver. We moved from CA but a couple of years ago, and one of the things we have most missed since arriving is good Mexican food, which is a practically a staple back in our previous state. Everyone knows that the best restaurants are the small, dingy-looking ones and Don Pedro fits that description very well. It's a pretty small area with a few tables and booths to sit, with a TV in the corner playing telenuevas and a load grill in the back. There menu is large. You can find pretty much any kind of Mexican food that you like, with any kind of meat that you like. I usually go with the web burrito which does not disappoint. My wife loves this place and tries to get us to go here whenever we decide to go out. In my own opinion, the food is good, but not the best I've ever had, therefore I cannot give it the full 5 stars, but if like us you crave good Mexican food (which is tough to find in this very Americana town) then give Don Pedro a try.

Today was the second time I've been to this Don Pedro's location. The first time for breakfast, this time for lunch. The breakfast burrito I got on my initial visit was tasty. Nothing special, but good enough to warrant getting it again, or returning to try lunch. After giving lunch a shot today, it's safe to say I won't be back. I got the chili relleno and enchilada combo. The chili relleno was terrible, just a bland pepper wrapped around a huge glob of jack cheese. The enchilada wasn't much better. I went with lengua (cow tongue), which is probably unusual for an enchilada but it's my favorite meat in Mexican dishes. It was the worst lengua I've ever had; tender and juicy but funky flavor. They offer an excellent salsa bar full of flavorful, house made hot sauces and spicy, pickled veggies. Staff was friendly and the food looked nice, but it's just not worth it considering other options.

Extremely hit or miss on the breakfast burritos. Generally, they are not hot…actually they’re barely even warm most of the time. The hash browns are usually soggy. The cheese is rarely melted. Making a breakfast burrito is one of the easier things to make on the menu, yet this location just can’t seem to figure it out. The highway 99 location is much better.

They have not only raised their prices significantly, but the food has gotten worse and they’ve implemented shrinkflation techniques. Those tiny cups of hot sauce shrunk big time. Two of them equal a little over 1 of the old size. It takes 3 to have enough hot sauce for your breakfast burrito. However, they charge a ridiculous $0.25 for an extra one. But in my case, they charged more than that. My $8 breakfast burrito somehow turned into a flat $9 which even with the extra hot sauce is impossible after tax. I have the receipt that shows how much the burrito with tax is and with an absurd $0.25 extra sauce, it does not equal $9. I will be filing a fraud claim with my credit card. Do not visit this place! They will scam you for every penny and their...

I hadn’t been handed a receipt so before I left, I looked for one couldn’t see it so I stopped and asked the gal. She said it was in the bag. I needed this receipt to get comped back. It is indeed not in the bag and when I called, she told me I could come get it, and I had already drove off when the other girl said she didn’t put it in the bag but she always does. Another reason for my concern is she said I didn’t give her enough money at first so I also wanted to compare to see if it was adding up. (Could be an honest mistake in either end)I shouldn’t have to drive all the way back to get something YOU confirmed was in the bag. So now I get to pay for all the meals out of my pocket in the meantime and can’t do anything till I go get it. After the way this was handled I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t take an extra $20 from me when she said I didn’t give enough. If the owner sees this check your cameras and your peoples thoroughness. Feel free to reply here especially if y’all owe me money for a mistake! Thanks for handling the situation poorly no offer to have someone send it...

Came in about two hours before closing to get my girlfriend some food as everywhere else was closed. Someone in the back near the counter stared down at us or me the whole time as we were looking what to get her to eat, this was about three minutes.

The cashier was ignoring us multiple times until I waved and said hi, and just as I briefly looked at the man staring he told the cashier they were out of everything I ordered.

Won't be coming back here again. as it's not the first time the staff has made us very uncomfortable with the staring and the atmosphere. It got dreadfully quiet as we walked in and the service looked like they were about to cry. It feels like someone will spit in our food every time. i don't exactly know what is going on back there but it isn't right as I am food service worker myself. Won't be getting my money again either way. It is a shame because it really is good food and within walking distance. I want to say this is because of poor management. In such a cramped space it's strange I don't see anyone take a break for fresh...
