Evoke Winery - Vancouver — Restaurant in Vancouver

A friend of ours has a membership to this winery, and invited us to spend a weekend afternoon taking in the late winter sun, sipping on flights of whites and nibbling away at choice charcuterie cuts, nuts and cheeses. If the wines themselves here don't make your cheeks as rosy as a rosé, their names will! Plenty of bawdy slang and double entendré slung about (although I preferred it when this place was called "Naked" winery), so leave your prudishness at home where it belongs!

Name change not withstanding, they certainly haven't stripped anything away from the quality of service and the deliciousness of the wines themselves. I'm not into reds very much, so I stuck to the white flight and ended with a glass of the Evocativity rosé. Our server and hostess, whose name I have shamefully forgotten, was wonderful from start to finish, as is usual here, or at any Evoke tasting room.

There are lots of great wineries and tasting rooms at the Vancouver Waterfront, but none of them are anywhere as much fun as Evoke! A visit here is guaranteed to be the best bang for your buck...among...

I had been a member of Evoke for about 15 years and recently ended my membership earlearlier in the year. Mostly due to the fact I couldn't keep up with drinking all the wine I had been receiving but also some issues with orders being changed when they transitioned their Point-Of-Sale systems over.

All that to say, my boyfriend and I visited this location, and we're greeted by the most amazing host ever, Sonika! Once we were greeted and sat, she was on top of our flights and a great conversationalist. We'd assumed she was the Tasting Room Manager, and when we asked she told us she wasn't, we were shocked! Long time member here, for over 8 years, just canceled my membership due to horrible service from Rachel, I even celebrated her promotion to manager and sense she became one, she got a power trip and targeted me and anyone I brang with the worst service possible, over 2 hours to get through a whole tasting, every time, was really hard to deal with, she would take long service times to get my daughter a capri sun or water on purpose. And almost every time wouldn’t get any of the member boards or charcuterie boards we ordered tell the end of a tasting, sometimes we’d order our own food and would get the food before the cheese board. Cool place but will not be back tell Rachel’s gone. Be really careful to with Rachel, she over charges and I’ll post a picture of the last time I went in there and she charged me for 2 sides of salami after under serving me salami that I paid for on the big charc board.
