Placed an online order and paid, showed up 15-20 minutes later and they were acting fishy when I asked them about my food claiming they had "already thrown my food out because it attracts flies when it sits there too long". I immediately realized this was simply a made up excuse for them screwing up and not making my order and ironically I couldn't have my biscuit because it just so happens that breakfast had just closed. They didn't offer me any kind of refund and said something about i could come back tomorrow and I told them I was on my way out of state and didn't have time to deal with it. After listening to the only other single crappy option, I walked out short of nearly ten dollars I paid for a coffee, an orange juice, and an entire breakfast while I was starving after working all morning, and had absolutely nothing to show for what I spent. I literally left with no refund nor breakfast. I am extremely upset with the service and I was honestly probably too kind and forgiving at the time because that's just my gentle nature with people, but looking back at it, the young lady I suppose who might be the shift manager, addressed me in a way that you could tell she was just absolutely full of it and somewhat unprofessional as she attempted to displace the blame on the customer when I literally have the receipt in my hand and time stamped on it showing when the order was placed before with enough time before breakfast was even closed. She seemed to jumble up her story as I questioned it about ordering it basically ten minutes before the breakfast was over and somehow she went from "You didn't order it before breakfast closed.." to "..yeah we made it but threw it out because we throw out the orders people place that they don't pick up on time". I was already having a rough day and honestly at least a legitimate apology that said "hey man, we screwed up and we are so sorry, let me give u your money back" would've prevented this review but that last little lie story telling sealed their fate...
Read moreOrdered thru the mobile app. Went thru drive thru. Gave them my code. Kept telling me it was invalid. I asked if I could show them at window so line could keep moving. They just kept telling me it was invalid. So I park and go in. I also ordered it again thru app. There my drink sits on counter. I asked employee if they couldn't have just looked at my phone to figure it out. Was told no . She wanted to make sure I knew that I made the mistake and didn't order it correctly. Ok my bad. But that could have been taken care of and figured out thru window. I told her I reordered it so I don't need the second one. I had already been charged twice on card. She tells me to do it thru app. I ask her if it was that simple. She said yes. Im not the best with all these apps so I still haven't figured out how to get my refund. It's only a couple bucks. My point being just because they have an app that makes it so there isn't much customer contact doesn't mean customer service should be non-exist. I probably did order it wrong. But Im pretty sure I wasnt ask how I would be picking my order up. The 2nd time I ordered I was asked. App recently had update, looks a little different now. But honestly even if I was at fault for that, it could have been taken care of at window with a little friendly customer service. I felt like the younger manager and crew just wanted to make this old lady who isn't very savvy with technology know and feel like I was not as smart as they are. Well that is not what they accomplished. What they did accomplish is another sad reminder that customer service is not of importance to them. I really really love my iced caramel mochas but my diabetes doesn't. So thank you Vandalia McDonald's. My alarm on my glucose reader won't be going...
Read moreI got a McNuggets meal, and it was absolutely yuge. The best McNuggets meal ever, everybody agrees. But sadly, this is not the McDonald's it was 2 years ago when I was manager. Do you miss me yet? Yes, I know you do.
This McDonald's does not stand with the great men and women of the United States Military. It does not offer a military discount to thank them for their service to our country. Add on to this rising prices with inflation, and you can hardly recognize the place.
It's crazy what this place is coming to. The server was very shocked when I asked for lemonade. "We haven't had lemonade in 6 years," he said. When I requested Powerade, I was similarly denied. It's very crazy stuff, people, crazy as a bed bug. This never happened when I was manager. All they had to do was leave my policies in place.
But with the help of the great Ohio workers here tonight, we are going to take McDonald's back. We will make McDonald's strong again, increasing its drink machine to a Coke Freestyle. We will make McDonald's wealthy again, by combating inflation to bring back the low prices you know and love. We will make McDonald's proud again, by implementing a military discount. And most of all, we will MAKE...MCDONALD'S... GREAT... AGAIN! Thank you...
