I recently had the pleasure of dining at Harbor Bistro, and it was an experience to remember! The atmosphere was delightful, especially with the sun setting in the backdrop while we enjoyed our meal on the patio. The combination of a charming setting and a relaxed vibe made for a perfect evening.
The menu offered a fantastic selection, and everything we tried was exceptional. I ordered the short ribs, which were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth tender, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. However, I did encounter a snag when I informed our server about my celiac condition. She confirmed that the short ribs were safe, but when they arrived, they were topped with fried onions. Thankfully, the staff quickly made it right by bringing out a freshly prepared fish dish that was delicious. I did notice a piece of fried onion still sitting on the tomato as well, so I decided to avoid the tomato altogether.
I also indulged in the lobster bisque, which was creamy and rich—definitely one of the best I’ve ever had! Adding to the ambiance was the live music, which provided a lovely background without being overpowering. It created a wonderful vibe that enhanced our dining experience.
To top it all off, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed for a delightful evening.
If you're looking for a memorable meal in a charming atmosphere, I highly recommend Harbor Bistro. I can’t wait to come back and savor more of their...
Read moreHad the worst experience at this restaurant tonight. There were eight of us in our group. We were seated right away, but after waiting quite a while we had to get up and ask someone to come take a drink order for us. We then told the waitress we’re ready to order and she said she just had to check someone Out and she’d be back. Again we waited for a very long time. Had to again get up and find someone to tell them that we wanted to place our order so when the waitress came back to take our order ,after she took our order, she told us it was going to be a wait for our food as they only had one cook and one server. After waiting for a long time, we had to go find someone so that we could get another drink. When our food finally came, we were not given any napkins or silverware so again we had to find someone that would give us some napkins and silverware. She never came back to ask us if we needed anything. I saw her and asked her to bring us a bill and again, we waited and waited for the bill and when she finally did bring us the bill she proceeded to YELL at us in front of the entire restaurant and tell us that we were rude! No one in our party will go back there again and it really is a shame because the food was decent, but the waitress...
Read moreWe have seen this place several times driving/walking around the area. After a quick Google search to review the menu, we decided to try it out. We will never be back. It was any ordinary Wednesday night at 7pm. Their hours online showed they're open 9-9. I placed a take out order, waited 30 minutes, then headed out, only to find a sign on the door that read "Closed". I used their physical online ordering service, from their own website, which allowed me to place the order and charge my credit card. There was no indication they were closed for business. With modern technology, it seems this should be entirely avoidable, and a failure on their part. There wasn't any indication of summer hours anywhere on their website, nor on Google. Do NOT order online. It seems to be nothing more than a money grab. I tried calling the number on my order confirmation, and no one will answer. The $60 charge for two sandwiches is still pending on my card, but I'm prepared to dispute. Save yourself the headache and hunger pains. There's plenty of other reliable restaurants on the island, and a plethora of seafood...
