Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Ventura

This is consistently the worst local Chipotle location, but they all are HORRIBLE. Chipotle in general has gone so downhill, it's insane.

The bins of food are somehow ALWAYS scraping the bottom, hours old, stale dry and cold. They will give you 1/4th spoon full of each ingredient you ask for, just to not have to replace the bins.

Half the time there is uncooked rice mixed in with the cooked rice, nearly breaking your teeth. The chips are always stale and inedible. The guac always has pieces of avocado fibers, avocado skin and unchopped/mashed giant pieces of onion and avocado with 0 consistency in the texture or flavor.

The food production line is always FILTHY with spilled toppings that they run your food over top of and get the wrapper/bowl filthy.

In my opinion, the worst part is the grilled meat is always just chunks of pure fat. It's disgusting. Half the time it seems like the meat isn't even cooked properly. When I finish my bowl there is a pile of fat on the lid that I spit out.

It's crazy because Chipotle used to be the place where you could get a decent meal and it was dependable. Now it seems like all they do is throw the parts of the ingredients that should be in the trash, into the food and expect you to pay...

I would give 0 star to this Chipotle store if there is such an option. The white rice was completely uncooked in the sofritas and chicken bowls and steak burrito. I talked to the manager and she didn't even apologize to what happened and just give me the helpline number. I asked them to remake the bowl and they agreed but again in the 2nd bowl they made the rice is still under cooked. Also when they made us the order the 2nd time, they skipped the chicken in the sofritas and chicken bowl(not sure it is due to mistake or dishonest). I again have to ask them to fix the order again. Apparently the employees/managers working there not only lack the cooking skill needed but also the communication skill needed in taking orders and communicating to the customer. I have been a loyal customer of Chipotle for many years and this is the worst experience I had in any of the Chipotle stores. Seems Chipotle needs to ramp up on their employee training and seems the managers/workers at this store are completely...

Tonight this spot just wasn’t it unfortunately. It was maybe 8:45 pm, they don’t close till 10pm line was filled up with plenty of customers. Yet they had very little available on the line for food options and extras to add on. Kitchen was shut down and they were cleaning it up already. Over an hour early? Bummer because I really do enjoy the food at chipotle. Workers were rushing and couldn’t even wrap a burrito up tonight. Salsa was all out, “run out of cheese”, lettuce was empty, no corn left. All the chips were gone. Place was pretty shabby. They asked for here or to go, after saying dine in they still put our food in a to go bag instead of baskets on trays. Thankfully what I did get in my burrito was good tasting. I enjoy the food, so I’ll definitely be back, still disappointing though. Hoping to be able to change/update review soon, do better please, or at least the bare minimum...
