It's what you expect from Tommy's in Los Angeles, yet up in Ventura County.
I enjoyed the food here, the staff was great. Came in on a random weekday, just after the lunch crowd, but before the dinner crowd. Lots of free parking out in front. The place is meticulously clean and well kept inside.
The consistency in the food is amazing, especially being so far from the original location in Los angeles. I like how the chili taste the same, the fries are crispy on the outside, and the burger I got with the Thousand Island is identical to anyone of the Tommy's locations you find in the Los Angeles area.
The food was great! It's good food, served quick. I had no issues with the wait time, which was relatively fast.
The bathrooms are well kept, clean
I have no complaints. I would definitely stop by here again if...
Read moreI love Tommy's but this location was an enormous disappointment. I have eaten at many other Tommy's such as in Palmdale, San Fernando Valley, both Huntington Beach locations, etc. I have also purchased take-home containers of their chili, so I was really happy to find this Ventura location. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! My double chili cheese burgers had no chili or so little chili as to be invisible. My husband had a double chili cheeseburger with extra chili but sadly the chili was also barely there. I also ordered a large ice tea but got watered down tea that tasted like water. This location is not worthy of being an Original Tommy's so don't bother stopping. They appear to be minimizing their chili on their burgers and watering down their tea. Maybe they have a new way to save money at the...
Read moreThe food is too expensive to be messing up on people's orders! They didn't label my food correctly today and I asked which one is the Double and which one is the Single and the cashier takes the burgers to the person that made them and she gives him wrong information about which one is which and the cashier puts a DBL red sticker on the single burger and by the time I noticed I have already half eaten the single burger and my dad ate the DBL that was supposed to be mine. I let the cashier know he mislabeled by food and he offered to remake my burger and I told him no cuz I already ate and had no time to wait for them to make my burger a second time. Bad experience! These combos are $15 and expensive to be messing up...
