I just wanted to let everyone know about a miserable experience I had at this store on Victoria in Ventura California. Iâve made many purchases there before and never had problems but this time I paid with a credit card and the clerk said that she text messaged My receipt. Never heard that one before and I was offended that my permission was not tequested or granted. Within a few minutes I received a copy of that receipt from a friend of mine who I hadnât seen in over two years. She wasnât happy. This merchant, using a Square POS system, Took a phone number affiliated with my credit card and sent them a text message as my receipt. Without my permission. I approached the owner and then her husband and neither one of them would admit that a mistake was made. Both of them said it was my credit cards fault. After doing a little research I am absolutely certain that this is a Square error That couldâve easily been avoided if I only been asked if I wanted a receipt at all. Any and all merchants who except credit cards are responsible for providing us with a safe secure and private transaction. And anyone can make a mistake but excepting responsibility for our mistakes is the first thing that needs to be done so that we can then get to the solution. I will never shop at the store again. Tomorrow morning I will talk to 40 of my coworkers and tell them of my miserable Customer service experience here. Iâm sure that some of them will go and tell their friends as well. I hope this message finds you well. As a loyal customer, I understand that your establishment can get quite busy. Today, I called to place an order for pickup and was asked to hold. I patiently agreed, only to be on hold for 17 minutes before having to hang up and call back.
Upon my second call, I requested to speak with a manager. After being placed on hold again, I was eventually connected with a young lady named Paloma. She admitted to forgetting about my previous hold due to the high volume of customers. While I understand mistakes happen, I believe it's crucial to speak with a manager in such situations, especially when I'm trying to place a simple order.
When I asked Paloma for her last name to verify her managerial position, she responded defensively, questioning my request. Her attitude made it seem like I was trying to escalate the situation, when all I truly wanted was to address the issue with a manager directly.

The wedding cake and the bundtinis were delicious of course, our guests loved them. My only complaint was the communication with the store was lacking a bit. When I first called in, I was told to email the manager, Terre, which I did. Unfortunately I couldn't get a response to my emails, so I tried calling a few times till I finally got her on the phone. She was perfectly pleasant and professional, I just felt she could've responded better to emails so I didn't have to go to such lengths to get a hold of her. It took a little too long. She also wouldn't process my payment right away. I paid over the phone as requested, but she didn't process it till a month later, which made me nervous. I didn't appreciate just having my credit card information sitting around. I'm not sure why the wait, but it worked out ok. Overall we were pleased...
