Roti Mediterranean Bowls. Salads. Pitas. — Restaurant in Vernon Hills

As gym owners of a fitness boxing gym Punch Fit, my wife and I are constantly approached by members struggling to lose weight and eat healthy especially when dining out.

Aneta and I have recently discovered Roti that has locations across the US and recently opened a location in Vernon Hills in the new outdoor mall Mellody Farms.

The menu is loaded with options that will satisfy the meat eater, vegetarian, and vegans alike. If you are not familiar with Roti their food options have Mediterranean’s delicious flavors, wholesome ingredients, and bright spices.

We have eaten at Roti several times and each time the staff was great and the dining room was clean.

To start your order you will be asked what type on protein you want. Roti offers several options; chicken, beef, salmon, and chickpeas (a great alternative source of protein for those that don’t eat meat).

Then you move down the line to choose your carbs and by carbs I mean the good kind!!! So don’t be afraid to indulge yourself here for sustained energy that will last you throughout the day.

I personally go with Steak Roti with tomato/ cucumber mix, kale salad, feta cheese and top it off with S’Hug sauce!!!

Aneta loves the Salmon Kabob and loads the rest of her plate with almost all the veggie options.

This is food you’ll love to eat and makes you feel great.

The one place you have to be careful is in your choice of drink. Roti offers soft drinks that should be avoided if you are looking to lose weight but they also offer several other options including their unique blend of juices. Just be on the lookout for sugar content as well as “sweeteners” that are just as bad. When in doubt go with water!

While they look great and most likely taste great avoid the pita chips and dessert if weight loss is your goal.

It's always a pleasure and treat when I can make it into a Roti Mediterranean Grill considering the lack of other good choices out there these day's, having this food especially when you can't always eat healthy when you are always on the go helps out tremendously to get that nice reset for your system!

Well, besides the compliment for the food, I also wanted to pay a compliment to the young man there, Gabriel M. for being professional and courteous thx again!

P.s. I hope you get the rest you well deserve. I appreciate your hard work. Thank you again, and i don't know if there's anything problematic going on in your life, but don't worry, things will turn around and get better if they aren't already!

A future career in management for this young man here if not already don't lose this guy Roti!

If I could zero stars I'd do so!!

I had a large order for a corporate lunch and contacted the appropriate person via email to inquire about food allergies. No response (even to this day!) even though I gave them plenty of time to respond.

Called the Vernon Hills location and no one answered and left a message as the voicemail message said to do so and someone would get back to me. Still waiting! I guess their work ethic reflects the corporate culture of being unresponsive to customer needs!!

This was the first time I've wanted to order from Roti, but I guess I won't be Iin the future!!

First impression a very bad impression that begs the question about the entire customer experience!! Plus, reading the comments about how salty the food is and others' poor experiences, why should I bother when there are so many options in Vernon Hills. I guess they are doing so well, salty food and poor customer experience, they can forgot a corporate order for 15 hungry...
