El Rancho Grande Taco Shop 2 — Restaurant in Victorville

Myself,my husband and my children have been very very long time customers of both shops the number one and number two since 1993. I was very sad to see number one go a few months ago but very happy that his brother kept the other shop and had just had the conversation with him a couple of weeks ago and was telling them all about how I've been going are there restaurants for over 27 years. Today my son and I decided to go and he ordered carne asada fries for himself and paid for them and then I ordered right after him my usual 4 over 20 plus years which was a hard shell taco and a large carne asada taco it came to $4.99 I handed him a $5 bill. I found it odd that he did not write my order on his little green pad like he always does. He also had a me-too water cups and my chips and salsa cups. After 2 customers came in after me and received their food and my son had already received his carne asada fries I started the question what was taking so long. He always has my tacos done very quickly. So I got up and ask him what's up with my order and he said, w"order"? Long story short after he rifled through his receipts and look at his green order pad, which I told him he did not write anything down on it, he questioned that I ever ordered .My son immediately got up and said, "my mom handed you $5 and you gave her a penny back, it came to $4.99. I could not believe he will forget that easily especially when there's only two people behind me after that and I've been coming here forever ordering the same thing every time. I immediately wanted to leave as you continue to rifle through all his receipts to prove if I did or did not he did not give me a receipt, so I had none to show him. I was just going to leave but my son gave him a penny and said I want my mother's $5 back he didn't hesitate gave it back and told my son your mom is a very long time customer of mine but I said not anymore. Not sure if he was having a bad day but I just sat there and watched my son eat and I did not get my food I left upset and distraught as to why I just got treated like that after being such a loyal customer and bringing him and his brother lots of business for the 27 years through...

I've been living in the HD for 5 years now and I finally gave this place a try..... The rice and beans were pretty good. I ordered two taquitos and one crispy beef taco... The meat texture was a bit off. It was mushy but didn't taste nasty... However, my hard shell taco did not seem freshly fried. It seemed like it was sitting for a while.. The taco shell was not hot and the rice seemed cold. I tried looking for their grade from the health department but was unable to find it..... Would I go back ... most likely not..... But feel free to give...

This Place is kinda hidden but somehow i saw it. I decided to try their food and I was very surprised. Honestly I was expecting not that great of food for some reason but I walked out of there very super super happy. The food was great, also it smelled good and fresh, and the lady who took our order was very nice with a happy attitude. We felt very welcomed. A big plus was that they have free refills on the Horchata haha never seen that before. Nice! no but seriously Great Food!! will be back there...
