Roundabout Grill — Restaurant in Victorville

This place was weird. And apologies for the unorganized review, this is the first time I've left a review like this, so it'll be a bit amateur. I came here with my family, a large group of people, and they were able to sit us easily. The first problem arrived when they took our order. See, this place isn't really a sit down restaurant, but they took our order like one because of the large group, and they didn't really seem like they were used to taking orders in that manner. When our food came out a few minor things were wrong. Onion rings when they weren't requested, an overcooked egg, stuff like that. The food also came out really staggered, but like I said it's not really a sit down restaurant so I'm not surprised they weren't really used to serving food like that.

As for the food itself the best I can describe it is confusing. They have a large menu and a small kitchen, usually a bad sign, but most of the food came out ok. What was odd was while the main food came out okay, with my family ordering a range of Mexican, breakfast, and lunch, the appetizers for the most part weren't very good. The wings for example were very eh, which is what I had, but pretty much all the appetizers were eh. Chilli fries, jalapeno poppers, fried mushrooms, all just kinda ok, with the worst reaction being my sister's to the wings, with her thinking they were pretty bad. I personally had issues with chunks of bone coming off in them, but I didn't mind too much.

The worst thing that happened however was when someone in the back was spotted scratching their back with what I believe was a spatula. I personally didn't witness the incident in question but was informed of it by my table. It was with the handle, so not too bad, but still relatively gross.

In conclusion 1: fine for small groups, ho hum for large ones 2: meals are good, apps are not 3: probably invest in a back scratcher lol.

And thus, a 3 star rating. Could be better, but I've had...

04/10/2025 tried the chili cheese fries with pastrami, and I almost died and went to heaven. They are succulent! In modern day language that means BOM... LOL

03/03/2025 UPDATE: I've been coming here for a couple of years now, and it has been great every time. You get a fast food experience here, but they treat you as if you were in a restaurant setting. They are friendly and cordial when they greet you. They bring the food to your table. And they're always checking on you to see if you need anything. Love this place, and will be coming here for as long as I live up here. The food is also really, really good! Also tried their quesadillas for the first time recently and they are delicious!

This place is way better than I thought it would be. They recently put up a sign that said it was under new management, and apparently they are doing things right! First off, the staff is very welcoming. The menu is pretty vast, and the food was Delicious! The bacon cheeseburger and fries I ordered were cooked to perfection! The dining area is big and clean. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So if you're from the area, or just passing by, do yourself a favor and try this place out. I believe you won't be disappointed.

I’ve been a loyal customer at this location for a long time and usually the staff are friendly and respectful. Unfortunately, my most recent visit on [9/7/25 around 5:20pm] was a huge disappointment. When I repeated my order to confirm it was correct, the drive-thru employee responded with, ‘yeah, that’s what I said,’ which came across as unnecessarily rude. It was such a strange and unprofessional response that it set the tone for the rest of the visit.

Later, when it came time to sign the receipt, she dropped the board outside the window. I didn’t even want to pick it up because of her attitude. I had to put my car in park, unbuckle, and open my door just to grab it, which was frustrating. Then, when I asked if she had taken my order at the speaker, she made a face and gave me more attitude instead of clearing it up politely.

To top it off, my order still wasn’t right….. I asked for Swiss cheese and was given yellow cheese. This is exactly why I wanted to confirm my order in the first place. This definitely did not feel like an accident.

By the time I reached the window, I honestly didn’t even want to pick up my food anymore and considered driving off to go elsewhere.
