Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Village of Plover

Went for lunch today. My daughter ordered chicken strips and fries . The husband had a burger and I had steak and shrimp with broccoli and asparagus. My daughter’s food was good. Hubby was upset he ordered the “ just bacon burger “ assuming there would be a lot of bacon on it and nothing else. There was 2 slices of bacon on it and tons of other toppings. That’s not really such a big deal , but then he got grossed out as we all did because there is an obvious fly problem. The flies were landing all on us and all on our food. I understand it’s that time of year but this was extreme. If there’s that many flies in the dining area the kitchen must be swarming. I ordered my steak rare and it came medium well. The asparagus was also teeny tiny thin , like a lollipop stick and it was burnt. Our servers took her time asking us if our food was ok. By the time she came by everyone wanted to leave because they were grossed out by all the flies landing on us and our food. I asked if there was an extra charge for the asparagus and she said no and asked what was wrong with it. I told her it was burnt , which I shouldn’t have had to do it was crispy black at the ends. She goes to get manager , manager comes to table asks what’s wrong I ask for fly swatter because flies were out of control then I told her about the asparagus and she offered to remake it I said no because we were all finished and grossed out and didn’t want to be there any more. Our server didn’t apologize once , the manager didn’t apologize once. I wasn’t trying to get anything for free , but if you’re paying $100 for lunch you should at least be able to enjoy it. We proceeded to order a carry out special for $25. We ordered it online and requested a pick up of 6pm. We arrived a bit early and waited until 6:05pm. I entered the carry out area and nobody was there although I could hear staff in the kitchen. I was going to sit down however there was somebody sleeping on the courtesy bench so I just stood there. At 6:15 another party came in and got their order and left while I was still standing there. Maybe 5 minutes later the individual that was there called for a manager. The manager was working the register console and basically told me there was a mistake and one order was ready and the other wasn’t. She deducted half the cost of the order and said we’ll bring it right out. Ten minutes later we had our food. Arrived home only to find the most greasy burger ever. The bun was soaked and basically not edible because it had soaked up a log of grease. The other item was a fajita which was cold and the flour tortillas were stuck together. The onions and peppers were also very greasy. I am very disappointed with this service. Also the waiting area where I was standing was filthy (I had plenty of time to look around). There was some uneaten food on the counter, somebody sleeping on the waiting bench, the floor was scattered with plastic utensils and the floor did not appear to have been swept lately, also the corners were filthy. DON'T COME HERE! Went here today I always loved their food but I won't be coming back after today's fiasco. First it took them 3 people to get us seated and I was very confused who our waitress even was. We ordered right away because we were going to get the same as last time. Anyways, waitress was alouf and came back to ask us to reorder what we already watched him write down then he said oh yeah I did put that in and then left. Took about 10-15 to return with our aps which was fine except it wasnt the waiter who was waiting on us. After eating the chips n salsa I was still waiting on drinks to arrive for us and him to come ask how food was. I waited over 20 mins to get my drinks. Food came and my chicken was under cooked, corn was soggy and unedible so I just left it there he never came back to ask how food was or I would've told him that it wasn't good. Finally I'm just done at this point he never came back to refill our $3 drinks either so I got mine in a to go cup. Check the receipt and he didn't even ring the food up right it was $45! I corrected him and it came out to $37 and that still seemed high so I left him the change as a tip. Sorry but he didn't even deserve one at all!....I couldn't over look there being poor service and bad food. Sorry Chili's I won't be coming back for your $8 caso anymore. It's good but not worth the hastle worst $40 ever...
