We are not frequent customers but we've been there a handful of times since they opened last fall. They have delicious gelatos and service had been fine but a recent experience makes me wonder if it's worth going back.
We decided to get gelato after dinner with our 3 yr old. We picked our flavors and paid. Little did we know that our kid wanted sprinkles on his. We asked them to ring up the sprinkles and they said they can't. The two young servers and us were all lost as to what to do. An older guy (manager for the shift?) walked out at the very moment, and one of the young servers talked to him presumably asking if she could just give us some sprinkles, and the guy looked pissed, glanced at us, and said no. The server said sorry they can't ring up sprinkles and our 3 year old is now on the verge of breaking down. Then she said that they can sell us a container of sprinkles. My husband was afraid that it would be a big container and said no thanks. And now our kid is in full tantrum mode, crying on their store floor in front of the register. My husband asked if they could just give us a few pieces of sprinkles on a spoon and the older guy gave another definitive no. It's pure chaos at the moment for us trying to calm him down and get out of the store. Don't know how it happened but one of the young servers slid a small container of sprinkles over and we were finally able to get our 3 yr old to calm down and get out of the store.
Getting a frozen treat shouldn't end up with kids in tears. I will definitely think twice before going back to them...

We swung by after dinner and there was a tiny line to order. They had about 18 flavors and as most gelato places, they let you sample a few flavors before you choose.
My wife tried the lemon cake (4.5/5) and I had the coffee (5/5) gelato. Both were delicious and went extremely well with their homemade cones. For another 0.75 cents, you can add whipped cream on top or have the bottom of the cone filled with gianduja chocolate sauce. I highly recommend the latter, it was a perfect way to end the cone (albeit a tad messy). To top it off, they put a nice wafer on top which looks nice and tastes just as good.
The one thing it's missing is a nice espresso machine to pair with your gelato. Regardless, we can't wait to swing back here after our next date night to try some...

I recently tried their piccolo whiskey gelato on a cone with the wafer on top, and it was absolutely delightful. The rich, creamy texture combined with the subtle whiskey flavor was perfection. This new dessert shop has quickly become a popular spot, especially now in the summer months. Despite the crowds, the line moves swiftly thanks to the team at the counter. (Donāt forget to tip they are working really hard, and they are super nice). Mimiās by Martine is a must-visit for anyone in Scarsdale Village craving something sweet and...
