OhhhhEmmmmmGeeeeee!!!! I haven’t had Coldstone in foreverrrrrrrrrr and today was the day to finally get my fix of the homemade goodness.
As I was in the Vinings area, I stopped into this location and it was all smiles from the door. The staff was super warm and inviting. The store was very clean and best of all, it smelled like fresh ice cream, waffle cones, and pure happiness. LoL!!!!
There are soooooooo many flavors to choose from and their creativity is beyond amazing when it comes to creating paired options. However, as soon as I looked on the board, I knew I had to go for my classic favorite. The Oreo Overload with a Sweet Cream base!!!!
As I sit here and type I’m having flashbacks about how good the ice cream was. LoL!!! The sweet cream base is a favorite of mine. It has a great texture and a nice creamy flavor that pairs well with anything. The classic Oreo cookie blends so well with the creamy taste of the sweet cream that it seems to enhance the flavor profile of the cookie as a whole.
Being the foodie creative that I am, I decided not to get fudge on my overload and to add some graham cracker crust to the mix. Whew! I hit the best kept secret ever. The crust pieces add a layer of texture that heightens every bite. Furthermore, the buttery crumbles go soooooooo well with the crushed Oreo. It almost puts you in the mindset of an Oreo cheesecake. Ummmmm!!!
As I was placing my order I had the chance to interact with Claire and Erika and they are amazing. They were very knowledgeable about the flavor profiles. They had great recommendations and their overall service itself was above standard. Super nice. Super engaging, and best of all, full of smiles.
Today was a good day, but after my trip to Coldstone… it was...
Read moreI am very disappointed with tonight’s incident. I ordered The Hot For Cookie according to my receipt. My cookie was brick hard and of course not warm. When I asked the person who fixed my order if the cookie suppose to be warm, he said yes. I then explained that it was not and that the cookie was super hard like a brick. I then threw it away. I was asked if I wanted it remade and I declined. Why would I want the same thing remade with the same exact batch of cookies?! Makes no sense. I asked for a refund and was immediately declined which also makes no sense. The other young man went to the back as I waited and called whom he claimed to be the manager and was told to remake it because a refund couldn’t be given tonight. I was then asked for my name and number to be called by someone name Erica that felt like I had to force the name out of him. I had to ask the young man three times for her name because instead of offering it he’s offering me a description of a person with blonde dreds that I don’t know. Frustrating, I had to tell him that I need a name to know who I’ll be speaking to because I don’t come to this location often and plus I live in Midtown. Everyone in that location seemed bothered as if they didn’t want to be there. My biggest issue is why would you have shift leads in place who can close and operate a store but can’t give customers immediate refunds for issues. All I’m due is the refund of the product that was not up to par, not the entire ticket. They can even keep the tip although they weren’t deserving of it, I felt that it’s the proper thing to do...
Read moreOrdered a birthday cake for the office online for p/u on 4/17. Called the store on 4/13 to change the pickup date to 4/24 and was told it was not a problem. When I went to pick up the cake the box was dirty with icing and crushed. When I looked inside at the cake and saw the freezer burn as well as ice on the bottom, I told them it was unacceptable; and inquired if they were aware of the change in the pickup date. The employee told me they had already started to make the cake. ???? Why would you start making a cake a week before the scheduled pickup??? The cake looked like it was taken out of the freezer and forgotten, allowing it to thaw out, then refrozen, instead of being thrown out. What kills me is that the employee didn't see anything wrong with 1. a crushed dirty box, and 2. the condition of the cake...SMDH!!!! I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for him to get approval from someone on the phone to issue a refund!!!! Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. Would you have presented that to a customer or even accepted that cake??? Yes, money was refunded. However, when I bought 2 pre-made cakes from the freezer no consideration was given, and paid full price. I guess I should be grateful that this location did not make those cakes. Going foward I would never order a cake from this location again. If you decide to, be sure to open the box and look at it before...
