Greetings. My family and I had the pleasure of visiting Maggiano's Cumberland Mall location celebrating multiple family members birthdays on Saturday February 24th. With everything going on in the city let's just say it was very crowded for the mall area as well as the restaurant. We had reservations for 6:00 p.m. however, we did arrive 7 or 8 minutes later than the reservation due to trying to find parking. Even with that huge parking lot spaces were filled. Once inside, the hostesses wanted to confirm that everyone in the party had arrived before being seated. Our group had decreased in size so the tables needed to be rearranged before we were seated. Manager Kris, Assistant Manager Samaria, made sure the tables were arranged properly and quickly. We sat down immediately and our waitress Naomi introduced herself to the table. We decided on cocktails and drinks as she proceeded to tell us about the "Family Style Menu" since we were a large party. For large parties I suggest the family style menu. It was $36 per person and it's enough food for everyone and refillable to have a taste of your chosen items. The options were two appetizers listed , two salads listed which were the Maggiano's salad and the Caesar salad , choose four items from pasta to meats listed on family style menu with dessert platters to finish . We ordered the Maggiano's salad and the Caesar salad, the stuffed mushrooms and the spinach and artichoke dip for appetizers, the pastas we chose were the shrimp fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, the Taylor Street Baked Ziti. Our entree choice was the Salmon with Lemon and Herb over spinach. Other meat options are listed. Our waitress, Naomi, was on top of her game. The courses came out promptly. The staff worked together who brought the courses to the table. If we ran out of anything it was replenished in a timely fashion. Drinks were fabulous. A couple of our guests ordered the Bellinis with a swirl . The swirl was red wine or white. Basically, a frozen sangria . The atmosphere was nice. As the night went on, food came out quickly, hot, fresh and tasty. At the end of dinner dessert platters were brought to the table which included a variety of their desserts on the menu tiramisu, creme brulee some other desserts that I actually had never heard of but they all were different. They surprised the table with three small plates that read Happy Birthday in chocolate with lemon Crescent shaped pastries included with a lit candle. Singing Happy Birthday was not an option for our table 😂 by request from the guests of course. Thank you for making our evening SPECTACULAR! One thing that I would suggest is to have a bathroom that is handicapped accessible closest to...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Maggiano's Little Italy, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening.
Despite a brief 15-minute wait, our experience was still enjoyable. The host kindly requested my phone number and promptly notified us via text message when our table was ready.
Upon being seated, I was promptly attended to by our server, who exuded genuine warmth and professionalism. They took the time to welcome us and provided recommendations from the extensive menu, showcasing a deep knowledge and passion for the cuisine. Their attentive nature ensured that our dining experience was tailored to our preferences, making us feel valued and well-cared for throughout the meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, with cozy seating arrangements and tasteful decor that transported me to the heart of Italy. Soft lighting and soothing music created a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying a leisurely dinner.
Now, onto the highlight of the evening: the food. Maggiano's Italian-American cuisine did not disappoint. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, showcasing the rich flavors and comforting aromas that are synonymous with Italian cooking.
One standout dish was the Beef Tenderloin Medallions, served alongside creamy mashed potatoes and topped with crispy onions. The tender medallions were cooked to perfection, offering a succulent burst of flavor with each bite. Accompanying it was a classic steak, also served with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, cooked to a perfect well-done. Each element of the Beef Tenderloin Medallions dish was expertly crafted, creating a delectable blend of textures and flavors that left a lasting impression.
Throughout the meal, our server remained attentive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our dining experience. Their friendly demeanor and genuine care for our satisfaction added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.
In conclusion, my dining experience at Maggiano's Little Italy was nothing short of excellent. From the impeccable service to the delicious food and inviting atmosphere, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I will certainly be returning to indulge in more of their Italian delights, and I highly recommend Maggiano's to anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary experience. Five stars without a doubt. Read moreFirst and foremost, MAKE RESERVATIONS! Especially on the weekend. It's easy, on the front of thier Google profile. As once an avid restaurante visitor, I knew better. Therefore, I made my reservation out an hour and a half.
Again, IF IT'S THE WEEKEND, arrive early to find parking. It's a mall surrounded by other good restaurants. We arrived on-time with a few minutes to spare. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated however, I selected a preference. It was packed and overly crowded with customers waiting to be seated, in thier foyer. They have only one waiting bench that can seat approximately 6 people. Not to mention the crowded staff at the podeum (why so many hosts? Approx. 5). It looked like a bunch of chickens running around eachother with thier heads cut off but, talking over eachother. But, once we exited that mayhem to be seated, it was bliss; the ambiance, seating, manerism and appearance of the staff were supurlative.
I was unhappy with my dish. I didn't pay attention to the type of pasta that came in it, and it was too aldente (undercooked and missing my extra carmelized onions). However, one of the gentlemen that wear the colored shirts (obviously leads), was asertive, he caught my expression and asked if all was okay. I politely explained my disappointment and he professionally owned the problem. He apologized, recognized and confirmed the dish, and immidiately radioed to the kitchen for a remake. He asked if I wanted anything (while I wait) pleased, I said no, thank you. The server soon arrived empathized as well. I also told her that had I known I would have asled for Angelhair pasta. She eagerly asked if I wanted her to let them know. I said no, because it was probly already being made.
Not too long of a wait, another gentelman arrived at our table with a smile and my plate (He could have been the sous cheff by appearance). The plate looked scrumptious! And, to my delight, had Angelhair pasta. It tastes as it looked (scrumptious!). And, the wine was a good recommendation by the server.
They were fully staffed and all professional. I was so happy...there, and...
