First time visiting Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre and had a great experience overall. I much prefer coming here instead of the Fox because it’s easier to get to and parking is cheaper (costs $15 for the deck). My advice is to go an hour before your showtime. That way, you get first level parking and avoid lines getting in and have time to relax, chat and enjoy a drink before the show starts (you can’t take food and beverage in with you). The staff were very friendly, professional and took their jobs seriously. Very impressed. Facilities were immaculate and so clean. The bathrooms were spotless. What I didn’t like were the seats. We were on the grand tier and the seats were so uncomfortable and very tight. Since an opera is well over 2 hours, I’d expect seats to be more cushioned but these were awful. I don’t know how larger people sit in them either, they’re very small and arm rests don’t lift up. Also, they need to be more clear about food and drinks. A few women snuck in snacks and it was very aggravating hearing chewing and plastic wrappers during the show.

Don't get me wrong, everything about the 35th anniversary Batman 1989 concert was 5 star worthy except one thing, the seats! The building was great(clean, modern, great acoustics), the performance was top notch, the staff were all perfectly friendly, but oh my Good Lord, the seats were a nightmare! I'm sorry but everything good about the experience was overshadowed by how awful the seats were. We were crammed in like sardines. I was beyond uncomfortable before my seat neighbor even showed up. This was a 2 hour plus performance and I was ready to go 5 minutes in. We would have left at the intermission but at $240 for two tickets we really wanted to stick it out. We were sitting dead center but 5 rows from the back. I think we greatly overpaid for a great show due to the greed of cramming in as many paying people as possible. I think everyone we were around was there for the first time too, and just about everyone was complaining about the seating. I would not go back until they remodeled.

Every time I attend this venue I am thoroughly impressed with the space and atmosphere. Today I attended a public school banquet. The food was very good, normal baked chicken mashed potatoes with some greenery, salad and dessert, three choices of different desserts. Sweet tart, gingerbread cake, and pudding. The servers were very fluid very quick and efficient. The meal was tasty it wasn't dry or distasteful. I only had water on my table but I saw sweet tea and tea sitting in bulk on trays, so I guess I would have had to ask for that wish I did not prefer that was interesting. The space that we were in for the banquet was not the overall large performance space however it was a banquet area and it was very nice and spacious and just enough for the celebration that I attended. The space the bathrooms and all other Ambiance was actually quite eye-catching and very clean. At the really enjoyed myself here as always and will definitely will return for future events.

It saddens me to write such a review because I have loved attending performances at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

As an avid ballet fan, my friend and I attended the Swan Princess matinee this past Sunday. The performance itself was fantastic.

During intermission, we went into the lobby/hallway and purchased some champagne and a artisan's basket with cheese and fruit. The lines were so long that by the time we could eat what we had purchased, intermission was over and we were asked to take our seats.

We spent $75.00 on our food and wine. So we put the artisans basket into our purse and proceeded to watch the remainder of the performance.

Once the performance was over, we thought we would stay in our seats for a few extra minutes to let the crowds die down and then we could finish our food.

As we sat there, a woman who works for Cobb Energy snuck behind us and scolded us saying, "I thought I told you girls you cannot eat in here?!" We were utterly shocked at her tone and attitude towards us.

We turned around and said "we're sorry, we were just waiting for the crowds to die down." We had never spoken to this woman previously and to note, my friend and I are in our mid-30's. We are by no means "girls."

As we gathered our coats, she scolded us again and said "you need to clear out of here so we can clean." The theatre is absolutely massive and this was not mere seconds after we were on our way out the door.

Now, to add insult to injury. We proceed into the lobby to stand at a high top table, put our coats back on and take a quick picture. As we are gathering up our stuff to leave, ANOTHER woman comes walking up to us and says "can you not see that you're the only people on this floor!"

At this point we were disgusted. The floor below us still had people coming out, we were on our way to leave and we get reprimanded again for simply standing in the hallway!

We didn't even respond and politely left.

To say I was appalled would be an understatement. Cobb Energy charges astronomical pricing for their food and never seem to have enough staff to service everyone. Now it appears they have added rude ushers to their roster.

I hope the two ladies who were obviously having a bad day, can be reminded that tone and graciousness goes a long way in...

Venue is good, however, I’ve been trying to contact guest services to notify them of appalling behavior I observed from one staff member to another. I have sent two emails and have yet to receive a response.

I had the pleasure of attending the Il Volo concert on 03/12, and although it was an amazing show, it was overshadowed by an unpleasant scene caused by a staff member whom I assume is a manager on a power trip.

At around 9:40 PM, as I was exiting the restroom, this older gentleman, wearing what I believe a gray vest, was yelling at and belittling this other gentleman (sitting on a bench right outside the restroom area), who was also a staff member. The gentleman in question was arrogant, unprofessional, rude, and projected a horrible image of the Centre. He was yelling at the other staff member telling him to come with him and clock out, and when the gentleman politely told him he was waiting for something he said you either come with me right now or you are not coming back, hinting at firing him if he didn't follow his orders. He said something along the lines of "you cannot come into the office without me anyway (maybe he had special access or something?). Several times the younger guy tried to explain, only for the older man to cut him off and raise his voice even more.

I was going to say something right then and there but did not want to cause any additional disruptions, but I felt really bad for the younger man that was getting yelled at. The way this pseudo manager talked to the staff member is very concerning, so I would urge you to please address this with this horrible person. Nobody should be treated that way; he didn't even care patrons were walking around, which was also very disrespectful and unacceptable. If anyone should be fired, it's him.

Thank you for your attention to the matter, and hope there are good news for the younger gentleman, who kept calm all the time, and he did not get fired due to the anger issues and incompetence of...

I have lived in Cobb County for a number of years, but never had the pleasure of visiting The Cobb Energy Centre. This all changed when a friend was unable to attend the ballet that she purchased a ticket for.

As noted above, I visited the center to watch the ballet. In an effort to not have to deal with parking, I was dropped off. This process was simple. The parking staff directed us to turn left and we were right at the front entrance.

Directly before entering the facility my ticket was scanned. The next step was to go through security. The staff did a very thorough search of my purse. After making it past security I saw the concession area so I headed in that direction.

The concession is small, but offered items such as popcorn, candy, and both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I was going to purchase some popcorn but did confirm that food was not allowed inside the theater.

Finding my seat was easy. They have signs that assist. Once you arrive at the door closest to your seat they do have ushers to assist you. I was seated to the right of the stage, and slightly off the floor. It was a perfect seat to me! It was comfortable and I had plenty of legroom.

The venue is well designed and laid out, ensuring excellent views of the stage from every seat in the house. The sound system is top-notch, providing crystal-clear audio that complements the performances perfectly.

One of the things that truly sets the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre apart is its diverse range of programming. From Broadway shows and musicals to classical concerts and comedy acts, there is something for everyone here. The venue hosts world-class performers from around the globe, making it a must-visit destination for culture enthusiasts.

Overall, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is a wonderful venue that offers an outstanding experience for anyone looking to enjoy live performances in a beautiful and well-designed setting. I look forward to visiting the center...
