Told my husband he was hired and they would send him a schedule in 2 weeks and he would be working at 4am to whenever. He was fine with all of that. He had been job searching for months and I am pregnant and we are really in need of him getting a full time job that pays okay so this was amazing for us especially because we are trying to buy a house. He told them he has 4 kids and a pregnant wife at home and thanked them for the opportunity. Since he was hired he canceled 3 other places he had interviews with including IKEA which offers similar benefits to what sam club does. He was then sent a message today (2 weeks later) stating they have decided to move on with other applicants. Those 2 weeks he could have been job searching and going to his interviews! The only reason he didn’t was because y'all said he was hired!!! You have NO CLUE how fd up this is! Nor do I think a big cooperation actually cares about the type of situation they put a family in to. I have 2 months left of my pregnancy and we need to upgrade from a 3 bedroom to at least a 4 and if he was hired like they said he was we could easily do so within the time frame we needed based off of what we can get prequalified for with our combined income. Our lease is about over and we can’t get in anywhere else until my husband has proof of income that isn’t coming from instacart. Them pretending to hire my husband and than back tracking has really fd us up in ways many can’t understand unless they have been in our situation. My husband has no felonies and a good application/strong work history. Other jobs have told him he was overqualified or the $21 a hour pay he wants is unable to be meant and that is the ONLY reason he hasn’t been hired somewhere. Many places are currently taking advantage of their workers and they want hard workers to make $17 a hour which is unsustainable for most people in this economy. Obviously we are aiming for a pay grade we need to be able to afford to buy off a combined income and to be able to sustain ourselves while I recover after delivery. I have no clue why they would bold face LIE about hiring him! I wouldn’t be mad if they were honest and said they don’t know if they can pay him what he is requesting and that they will get back to him. He would of kept looking if they were honest! Instead they strung him along. If you plan on applying here I suggest you don’t. They don’t give a f what kind of situation they put you or...

Read moreChecking out at this store is always a nightmare. First there's almost never anyone actually working at the front. Lots of people hanging about, talking to each other, but no one helping the customers. One time they had about 8 automated checkouts working and no one at all there in the front to help anyone. It won't show you what your actual total is until you go to pay which is frustrating if you're trying to make sure that you got the correct price you can't see it until the very end. When there is an issue with pricing there's nobody there that can actually fix it. Literally when they came after about 20 minutes waiting, they said they couldn't actually fix the incorrect pricing. People don't take down sale prices that are expired. Checking out at this store is always, and I repeat, always FRUSTRATING. I have not once left here happy and that all comes down to the checkout experience. Today again it's frustrating going through because at the very end of the store they randomly check your stuff with a scanner. I just checked out scanned everything produced a receipt and now they want to scan every single item as I walk out the door. This is ridiculous I'm carrying this stuff I'm not using a basket I'm barely able to contain it, they won't let you take boxes anymore because they don't want you to be hiding something going out the door. I get that theft is a problem but everyone that goes in has to have a membership so maybe have just 1% trust in your customers and just look at what they're carrying instead of scanning every single item a second time making me drop stuff that I just bought making me break eggs that I just bought and making me feel like a criminal on my way out the door. The big box store next door (owned by the same parent company) doesn't do this to you. To say that I leave there happier on a regular basis is bizarre. I will also say that I am generally happy with the entire experience until checkout. The store is clean, organized and stocked pretty well. I am usually pretty happy till I get to that checkout. I wouldn't come here ever except that it's the only discount store in the area. If anyone else was in the area, I would never...
