The way i was treated here, in my opinion, is totally not oK.... All (NO) thanks to Maria, the manager... because of critical information SHE failed to inform when I called... Priorr to driving over 24 minutes to get to this restaurant.
I seen that they offer a deal on Groupon, which I bought, and took my time out to call the resturant BEFORE placing an order to ask about how i should go about using the Groupon.
Maria literally told me I could just order anything and the Groupon will count for it. In which sense especially because I have ADHD, I asked her in several different ways if I needed anything else and she told me literally no. Just make sure I have the Groupon when I come in.
I get there only to be told that I know I have to buy at least one thing in addition to what was already made for the Groupon to count, I already ordered more than enough food for myself, as I got a big burrito and a taco. I'm 110 lbs & I don't really do left overs.
She literally kept talking over me cutting me off and telling me that there's nothing she could do for me because that's just the rule, I calmly let her know I completely get that... I really did, but why did she not let me know that over the phone when I asked her several times what did I need to do to use my Groupon.
I really wanted to leave the food right there and then but I literally just drove 24 minutes to this restaurant & im super hungry at this point
I'm still calm... & She's now looking at me like I'm speaking some alien type of language to her. Didn't come up with any help.
OH BTW NOT ONCE DID SHE APOLOGIZE TO ME FOR GIVING ME WRONG INFO OVER THE PHONE. She actually tried to make it seem like I was doing something wrong. Kind of embarrassing to say the least. So finally she tells me I could just buy a drink
Imagine if I had just drove there without any money on me. Because, again, I literally called and asked her in several different ways if I needed to bring anything with me to use this coupon.
Also, if you use an Apple Pay while checking out.. you have to scan a QR code .. it then takes you to Some app thing, which was new & just confusing when i asked how do i use this or if i needed to make an account she acted as if she didn't hear me so i just had to spend time figuring it out.
She even forgot the drink that I paid for and when I came back to get it she again, did not even say anything to me she just told another employee to get it for me.
The food: The Birria taco was actually OK, it did not come with any consumé to dip it in so that kind of defeats the purpose of birria.
The burrito was supposed to come with guacamole and They forgot that too. The rice was just plain white rice too & very thinly sliced pieces of beef. Didn't really have much of that Spanish flavour to me.
The place itself is actually a nice size and seemed fairly clean.
I do have another dine in Groupon which All sales are final on so i must use so I'll reluctantly eat in in the future and try a different...
Read moreOverpriced and not worth the hype. I know Oaxaca Mexican food…..it’s the only reason why I decided to try this place out. When you enter, there is a sign that says “happy hour all day” when we asked the “host” she said “no there is no happy hour”….then why have a sign that says it. We were seated and the music was very loud….i usually don’t mind this but clearly it affected the waitress’s ability to hear us when we wanted to order because she messed up so many times. We ordered 3 drinks….my friend ordered a margarita that comes with a corona in it…..this drink was literally just simple syrup. It was too sweet. When we told the waitress that this was too sweet, she said it was because of the beer…..ok, because that makes sense. He asked for an extra shot to even out the sweetness. She said a well shot was $8. Whatever, he got it. When I got my margarita, she brought it frozen…..I told the waitress that I wanted it in the rocks…..when she brought the correct one, it was too sweet…literally just simple syrup. I just left it because I felt uncomfortable having to bring up these issues because I could tell she was getting annoyed. The drinks were $20-$23 each. Absurd. The food was ok. My rice was hard and cold. I got the mole….the chicken was ok. The only reason I’m leaving a 2 star is because we got guacamole with chapulines and they were great. Before leaving, I requested 2 orders of chapulines to go (just the chapulines, no guacamole), which should have been $8 each. The waitress brought me 2 orders of guacamole with chapulines ($14 each)…..at that point we just paid and left. From the start the service was bad. The waitress tried her best but I don’t know why there were so many mistakes. Place is over priced for the quality of the food. Maybe the take out service is better but to sit and eat…..not worth it. For 3 people, one app, 3 dishes, 3 drinks and the 2 guacs to go….our bill was about $190…..not including the tip. We left her a $30 tip but this place needs serious training for...

I walked in planning to order a simple meal, but then I noticed they had a buffet. Naturally, being a bit frugal, I decided to check it out. After seeing the options, I went for it. The buffet was $24.99 on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
The hostess—who I honestly thought was a child at first—seated me and handed me a knife, fork, and some paper towels. Shortly after, the owner came by and kindly explained the dishes, as they were labeled in Spanish. I grabbed my first plate, sat down, and dug in. The food was good—just a heads-up that some of the meats have bones in them.
After finishing my second plate, the hostess came over and tried to take my utensils, which made me realize this might not be an all-you-can-eat situation. It seemed more like a two-plate limit. I let her know I was planning on getting more. I went back up, and the manager approached me again, continuing to offer information. It felt a bit intrusive at that point, but I appreciated the effort and carried on.
I grabbed some tacos (they're generous with the meat). After that second plate, I was stuffed—like really full. I paid my bill and left feeling satisfied. The food was great, but if you're someone who gets self-conscious about being watched or possibly discouraged from getting more food, it might not be the best fit. I didn’t go beyond two plates, and honestly, I’m not sure how well that would’ve gone over if I had tried—haha.
I was also told they have taco buffets on certain days, so I might check that out in the future.
Great food....
