CAVA — Restaurant in Virginia

I was disappointed with the service Sunday. I feel just because the environment is busy one should still keep the customers service and think about how they would want to be served. First, the romaine lettuce did not look like the romaine lettuce. I asked if they were sure that was romaine, that it looked like iceburg, and I was given a little tude so I just switched up my greens. Then, going through the line I was rushed; when we got to the protein the lady threw a large piece of skin into my bowl. I said I'm sorry I'm not going to eat that skin. I prefer the meat especially if I'm paying extra. I did not receive a piece of pita bread and asked if I could have one. The bread was tossed into the bag instead of handing it to me or walking closer to the bag since it was at a distance from the cashier. I don't think that individual would want their food tossed into their bag. It was just wrapped in a piece of paper and could have fallen out. The associates seemed as if they did not like being at work or they may have been tired, Out of the 4 only one was pretty pleasant. The temperature was decent but we chose to eat outside since it was s little full inside. The drink area was pretty clean, just one of the tops was off the drinks. I didn't want anything flying in there so I put the top back on for the associates.

I probably wouldn't go back on a day they are busy. The food was decent, if there were healthier choices I would have went else where after the whole lettuce ordeal.

I was very disappointed for my 1st visit! I ordered 1 Greens and Grain bowl- chicken. I was eating my food and realized that I had just taken a few bites and all my chicken was gone & had more greens left with no meat. As you can see the time stamp of my receipt- I explained to the cashier like that was not a good serving. Since ,I had more veggies left, the she charged me for a side of chicken.. Well, I paid and she proceeded to go about her business and work, after standing there for a minute or so, I said excuse me ma'am may I have chicken! Cashier said Oh, I'm sorry I forgot. I spent $15.00 dollars and I will never eat here again. I see why I was not given enough protein with the 1st serving- the chicken was very dry and looked as it was sitting...

Went back a second time. So delicious. I have three complaints. One, they made me wait for falafel while they made two orders to go with falafel. I believe they should serve the customer at the counter before door dash orders. Two, the manager put my dressing cups in my food and put the lid on it, totally gross. They little soufflé cups had been scrubbed all over the nasty back counter. I am allergic to avacado, and this is the problem, if those little cups get in any avacado on them and are then put in my food, I can get very sick. The manager blew this off and blamed it on "corporate." Three, I have to ask for the side pita that comes with the meal. Other than all that, if you're still here, it's delicious!
