Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Virginia

This location is really inconsistent with their food quality and portions. I generally don’t leave reviews but felt compelled to do so after my last two visits.

Yesterday I ordered a double brisket portion with my burrito bowl. This adds an additional $8, bringing the bowl to over $20 - which I absolutely acknowledge. Unfortunately, when I got home and took the lid off, there was barely a single serving of brisket on this bowl. Instead, there was a ton of rice and the skimpy spoonful of brisket was hidden under sour cream and salsa. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I mean, that’s over $20 - come on!

Regarding my visit before this last visit - I ordered a regular portion burrito bowl. When I pulled the burrito bowl out of the bag, everything was on one side and leaking out as if it had been on its side. Literally half the bowl was empty and everything was on one side. It was as if somebody had put it in there on its end instead of flat on its bottom.

Sometimes the food is great and other times it is fairly below average. They have even forgotten to include my sides with my quesadilla.

If you hit this place on a good day, five stars - but at this point they’re losing stars with each visit.

I greatly dislike giving a one star rating for service because John was an impeccable employee. At one point he was the only one working and had a line of customers almost to the door. Sad to say but I'm used to seeing at least one fentanyl ferret tweaking while trying to maintain composure enough to get the Togo and drive through orders out. MOD also cook was only spotted for a brief moment here and there and left John to deal with the amassing line of customers and his other co-worker and I say co-worker loosely. Let's talk about the prep area.... Food products all over the place and not in the trays, and speaking of trays let's just say most of them are empty or sitting there for hours. Lobby sit down area was not adequately stocked leaving you to ask the other worker for forks and other essentials. Now keep in mind this was after lunch and before dinner at the slowest time according to Google. John if you read this, your parents did a fine job raising you and you have a great work ethic! You will go far in life just don't let this...

I would not recommend this Chipotle Mexican Grill. Everything about this place was disgusting. As we approach the service area there was not many choices of me because all the meat looked like it was very old and cold. The service was cold as well... after getting our food we had to walk up to the register to ask for one of the tables to be cleaned because all the tables and the restaurant were covered with rice and messy stuff. The lady decided to wipe our table with a dirty rag which smeared rice guts all over our table. I'm not sure how the bathrooms look because I did not want to go in there. The music was oddly non impressive but I guess it went along with the rest of the atmosphere of the restaurant. I did finish all of my food however it was cold. I would recommend going to one of the surrounding restaurants and avoiding this one, unless of course you want a dirty place to sit and cold food waiting for you.
