Mixed Experience at Mediterranean Oven
We visited Mediterranean Oven over the weekend, driving 45 minutes based on glowing recommendations for their kababs. The ambiance was inviting, with a clean and cozy atmosphere that set the right tone for a pleasant dining experience. The cashier's politeness and kindness were noteworthy, and the customer service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, accommodating our requests with a smile and checking in on us multiple times. The fact that they didn't charge us for service was a lovely touch, highlighting their commitment to customer satisfaction.
However, the food was a letdown. We ordered the kabab platters to sample a variety of kababs, including beef, lamb, kobedah (minced), and chicken, served with rice, two types of bread, and side chickpeas. While the presentation was appealing, the kababs fell short in terms of flavor and texture. The heavy marination seemed to overpower the natural taste of the meats, making it difficult to discern the quality of the ingredients. The chicken kababs, despite their appealing red color, lacked flavor, and the rice could have been improved with a bit more softness and a hint of cumin.
Despite our disappointment with the food, the exceptional service and pleasant ambiance make us willing to give Mediterranean Oven another try in the future. With some tweaks to their menu and cooking techniques, they have the potential to become a favorite spot. For now, we'd recommend Mediterranean Oven for its outstanding service, but with the hope that they'll refine their culinary offerings to match their...
Read moreUnfortunately another pathetic food place, food that’s tasteless and full of salt, they used MINCED CHICKEN ON THEIR PIZZA. Really bad pasta that had runny sauce like milk not creamy at all. They also have the worst calzone filled with bits of cheese and some tiny bits of chicken, not to forget it was thin as a tortilla and flat. I’m never going back and pray that they learn their lesson soon. I wish the reviews were authentic so I could’ve decided better.
EDITED: first of all kudos to you for replying to me with a AI Generated answer💀, as for the minced chicken quesadilla calzone, I am aware you don’t have that on your menu but your cashier upon request said that we can make that for you and they did. For your pizza, did I say anything about asking for a whole chicken? The amount of salt it had was devastating and barely any toppings. For your “chicken masala” pasta, I spoke the mere truth. The sauce was as thin as water let alone milk. I’d say milk is more dense than your sauce. Pipe down man💀 93% AI Generated response is wild man wild. This review response will definitely be shown to the BBB (better business bureau) I’m sure you are aware of who they are lol. Your response really shows how unprofessional and unauthentic your...
Read moreI recently visited Mediterranean Oven on Sudley Road in Manassas, VA, and it exceeded all my expectations! This hidden gem is perfect for anyone who loves authentic Mediterranean food and 100% Halal options.
The menu offers something for everyone—whether you're craving flavorful kabobs, mouthwatering gyros, or Halal pizza and Italian pasta. I had the chicken breast kabob, and every bite was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. My kids couldn’t get enough of the smashed cheeseburger and gyro, and the portions were generous! I’ve also tried their ground beef pide before, and it was absolutely delicious.
The warm, family-friendly atmosphere and attentive staff made our visit even better.
