I'm a SSV at Starbucks down in North Florida, traveling to Maine for a funeral. I went to this store to get a coffee this morning through DT around 7:45am. Hoping to make connections with my fellow partners and start my second day of travel off right. When I got to the window, I said I had partner numbers and gave them to the barista, who was taking my payment. Another Barista(a ssv?) asked if I had my ID and if she could see it. I informed her that Starbucks Standard is to just confirm the name that pops up when you type in partner numbers, which I did. I told her I wasn't going to show her my ID as I am non-binary and my government name doesn't match my chosen name I go by as a barista. She rudely asked me what store I worked at and I told her a store in North Florida. She was then extremely rude and disrespectful about this telling me it was "district policy." A made up district policy does not go over what corporate says. I've been a partner for 3 years and never have I felt so disrespected and been treated so poorly by a fellow partner. This was completely unacceptable behavior. I am baffled by this Baristas behavior and attitude. If you're a queer Barista I would steer clear of this...
Read moreJust left here. Customer service was not the best. Really can’t get over how bad it was. Frequent customer at Starbucks and gave cashier/order taker the exact change and they gave us back wrong change. We didn’t mind this but didn’t want the drawer to be off ( since I have worked on retail and food service I know drawers off are not good) so tried to let her/them know and they seemed irritated. Was just trying to help and they were not nice nor helpful. They then said “you didn’t give exact change” and I replied “the change was .51 right”and they said “yes” and I said oh I gave you .51 and I just don’t want your drawer to be off and they then said “oh… ok then what do I owe you” with a little bit of an attitude. And I said it’s one dollar back and you take the change back (it was .70 they gave back). They then said “ok … I’m sorry” with an attitude… then took thw difference out of the tip jar as we pulled off. So random usually customer service is so good. Just...
